As someone who's been pretty serious about the art for the past couple of months, I'm experiencing something that can be only defined as information overload.

Here's my regular routine: I read a manual, watch a bunch of videos, read a few articles online, religiously plow through everything on seddit and discuss topics with you guys, write about my progress in my blog, and then of course apply as much as humanly possible to the field. Rinse and repeat. The problem is that with all the information at our disposal, with the different schools each teaching a slightly different mindset to the approach, my head is a mess and at this point I feel that reading is actually to my detriment. I'm sure I'm doing too much too soon, but I also know that I'm not the only one.

You got to be yourself, you got to be a different man that women will like, you must be warm when you approach her, you got to engage her in A1, you gotta be a man and claim her, you gotta be just friendly, you gotta be the life of the party, you gotta ignore her and only pay attention to her friends, you gotta ask her directly tell her you find her exciting, you have to make sure she understands you're not interested, you have to be alpha, and on and on and on..

All of this leads to complete chaos, and I feel that at some point you simply need to stop reading about new ideas, keep your head clear, and focus on the really basic steps, a few at a time, until not only you understand what you're doing, but you become it. For example, talking to everybody isn't a quick-fix technique, it's a new persona altogether. Until you become that new character, it's going to be tough to demand much else from yourself. Same thing about perceiving yourself as alpha, about the concept of abudance, 24/7 kino, and the idea of non-neediness. To a lot of people they're such massive paradigm shifts that attempting the little things in parallel feels actually like a really bad idea.

As I said, I know I'm not the only one. How did you guys deal with this?
