tl;dr ** When should you text and when should you call?**

I've been a heavy texter, relying on it much more than phone calls to contact girls whom I'm interested in, but it's becoming apparent to me that it's easy to lose a girl's interest with texts. Also, its kind of awkward and annoying. When you can't get a reading on her mood like you can on the phone, it can seen like a chore to figure out what to say. On the otherhand, it can be awkward to call up a girl whose number you got drunkenly at a party, and a quick text can serve you there.

The ettiquette these days with college aged kids and twenty somethings (the age range I go for) is very text-heavy. I feel like if I called a girl who I had so-so rapport with, out of the blue, she wouldnt answer me, especially if she didnt have my number in her phone. And if she did, I'm not sure where I'd take the conversation, except seeing what's up, and what she's doing that night. Maybe that means that you shouldnt contact a girl if you don't have a plan on what you want to do. But still, I think texting can build rapport. If you got her number a few weeks ago, you can respark her interest with texts, without coming on to quickly by asking her out to do something out of the blue.
