Well...Valentine's Day went by like any other typical day for me here at college, woke up, went to class, etc. Till it came time to go get some dinner...so I left and made my way to the campus food court. Got my sub and proceeded upstairs, I was scoping for tables, when I noticed a HB-8.5 reading a book, she glanced up and locked eyes with me so i gave a quick little smile and turned the corner. Walked a few ways away and sat down by myself at an empty table.

I sat there for about 5 minutes...thinking to myself. "What the FUCK...this is bullshit...basically cursing the hell out of AA." I had enough of it, so I got up and walked right up to her. "Mind if I join you?" "No, not at all" (giggles/smiles repeatedly). I introduce myself, start building rapport (what are you reading, studying, etc). She tells me she has class in about 20 mins, continue chatting, good conversation, at the end as she is getting up, "Hey, well shit (slipped out, but felt natural so I didn't mind), let's do this again sometime, can I get your number?" "sure, (sits back down)" reads it out, I call her back, enters mine in. Leaves with a smile, I tell her to have "fun" in class, she laughs.

Even if it doesn't pan out...still feels great to know that I COULD have just sat there being a waste, but nope, instead I got off my lazy ass and made a move.

tl;dr Saw a HB, sat around mulling over whether to open or be a waste, chose the former, #-closed.
