A downvote is a distributed democratic ban. Use this power with care, and if possible leave an explanation.

For a young subreddit like this massive downvotes is completely destructive and divides people and spreads negative feeling, the advice should be the opposite. You should upvote more! I completely disagree with you, this is just bad advice.

People should be upvoting more.

The downvote is reserved for terribly offended posts and wrong advice, not for something you "dislike"

People are taking this DOWNVOTE it! a bit far. All of a sudden I'm seeing first timer field reports getting insta-downvotes probably because people don't like a few assumptions the OP made and never bothered to leave a comment. I know you gave specific criteria about what to downvote, but a call for downvotes will always get a bigger catch than intended.

My advice, a call for comments instead of a call of downvotes and people should stop caring about the hivemind that always downvotes people who point to askseddit or give negative feedback.

Actually, fuck that, just merge seddit and askseddit already.

The problem with this is when people are looking through sub-reddits, they aren't going to find askseddit they will find seduction. If anything I think FR's should get their own sub-reddit instead of questions being deferred somewhere else. None of the other subreddits refer questions to other sub-reddits and neither should this one. Be helpful. Teachers teach the same material year after year, if you want to be helpful then you're going to have to accept that new people are constantly coming in and answers are sometimes hard to find.
