First, it's my belief that in Pickup, there is no one true answer to how to do things. Game has to be recalibrated for all of us, because we are all different. To truly play the game is to be able to find out what works for you. The only way to do this is to keep trying different methods until you find something that works. Here's what worked amazingly for me yesterday:

Who I am: A pessimist. Unconfident. Low self esteem. A perfectionist. One of those nerds who takes few risks and gets good grades. Massive approach anxiety.

What doesn't work: Pretending to be confident (I'm not). Pretending that everyone likes me (I know they don't). Trying to suppress negative feelings makes me more negative. Trying to build inner game when I have no foundation to build any inner game. So how can I channel my pessimism and negativity into something positive? Play to *lose*. I know this isn't any new advice that hasn't been expressed in r/seduction. I just finally started listening to it.

My goal yesterday was to totally fail in 10 sets. I went to each set with 0 expecations of success. Before each set, I psyched myself by saying "Let's go fail again!" More importantly, I stopped being picky on what sets to go into. I stopped making bullshit excuses like:

Oh those girls are just too hot for me. I have no chance!

Oh I don't think I like those girls (Without even talking to them. How shallow is this shit?). I don't want to approach that set!

Oh look at that massive group of beautiful women! I'm too intimidated!

No more fucking excuses, especially if your goal is failure. Approach the sets you think you will fail at, because they will help you reach failure faster! And the irony is, when I played to fail, I succeeded. One beautiful girl offered her number (never happened to me before). I met all sorts of interesting people. Out of the 10 sets, I only got 1 big rejection.

I know this point has been expressed in r/seduction over and over again: Outcome Independence. Well yesterday was my Independence Day, and it was awesome.

I'm sure the more experienced PUA's around here know this better than me: In this game, you will be failing. A lot. Well might as well get better at failure by practicing, huh? Release yourself from the burden of potential success, and embrace failure!

TLDR: Play to fail. Be outcome independent.
