Your virginity shouldn't be a burden; it should be lost when you feel the most comfortable. With me, I lost it to someone who I was dating at the time, and we both liked each other very much. It ended up being (and feeling) really good for both of us, and I gained experience through her.

I have thought the same as you before. My mate reassured me that it will happen when it happens and you'll know when. It was really good advice that I took up, and I'm pleased that I did.

That is my opinion though. You could always lose it to a random or even a prostitute (I've gone through some IAmA's with prostitutes saying they've done it many times before and don't mind. They seem pretty understanding from what I've heard. They're just getting paid after all). I just feel it's better with someone you have feelings for.

Plus, you're going to feel the pressure about getting with a chick, hooking up with her and going into the next stage for the first time with someone you've only known for an hour or so. Unless you know exactly what you're doing, it is a lot easier to date someone first and escalate through that.

When I lost my virginity, I was 18 and it was completely awkward and weird. It took another year to have sex again and that was awkward and weird. But it turned into a relationship and that was good.

Point is, this is going to be awkward and weird, and will get much much better at some point, but you have almost no control over when it gets better. All you have control over is when and where you do it, or not.

And then after having sex about 20-50 times, you'll finally figure out how to do it, and then you'll be more comfortable with escalation. The easiest way to have sex this many times is to find a girlfriend.

Hmmm, a lot of great points here. So far it seems that the general advice is to let it happen when it feels natural, and that despite the not giving a fuck part, there is some sentiment attached to losing it for the first time.

Thanks a lot, Seddit, I was beginning to wonder if I was missing a huge piece of the game here. Will keep all your advice in mind.

Let me put it like this: If you're doing pick-up right and you're talking to a girl, sooner or later she will be thinking about having sex with you.

It's easier if you can relate to that feeling, you game will become more natural.

I lost my virginity to a girl I picked up in a bar. I haven't been into the PUA stuff at that time, though. She was just craving me for whatever reason. As soon as we entered her bed she took the lead, and I enjoyed it a lot. She even said the fact that I was a virgin turned her on.

This was just a rare and really lucky case, though. However, what you can take away from this is, that you shouldn't think too much about stuff like the 'escalation ladder', it won't be natural, and maybe the chick will be disappointed. So be honest. You are comfortable when you feel comfortable.

from experience i would suggest loose the v-card, it will give you give you frame to work with, and you will be much more confident when you know you already have done it. definitively made me escalate faster, and be more confident around women.
