The way I've begun putting it to my closer AFC friends, whenever the "girls are stupid, they only date jerks" conversation comes up, is this:

"The short version is, you have to be a dick. It's attractive to girls, and you just spouted off another in a long string of examples proving that. You're seeing that they have success in the short term, and with the especially desperate girl in the long term too.

"That said, I'm not telling you to start abusing women; quite the opposite. The thing that will set you apart is that the nice guy in you will occasionally tell you 'Hey mate, she needs someone to listen now' where those other guys would just keep being dicks. Be arrogant, be assertive, be confident, but when she really needs someone to talk to, be the nice guy. Just, not all the time."

That's one of the main points most guys should take away from seduction, in my opinion (along with inner game/self-confidence and acceptance of rejection/moving on). Obviously there will always be guys who use sed as a tool to get laid, but the true AFC (average frustrated chump) seems to be a nice guy who doesn't understand why girls don't like being treated respectfully. They just write it off to "bitches be crazy" and hope they find one that isn't eventually.

I flove this movie, Trent, and VV. But - as a public safety announcement - there's a reason he's the butt of the joke for much of the movie. The insane, no-holds-barred confidence is charming, to be sure, but his character is a douchebag. A handsome scoundrel of a douchebag, but the kind you don't exactly brag about banging the morning after over brunch with the ladies.

This movie is on netflix instant stream and has some very good pua material in it. Highly recommend it

As I recall, though, the whole point of the movie is that Vince Vaughn is a crazy misogynistic twit whose antics are funny for a while, but they get old and he ends up alone in the end. The point is, you don't have to be like him to succeed with women. I don't know if that's true or not, but that's how the movie works. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want the end result of my training, such as it is, to be that I end up like Vince Vaughn (In truth, I am much worse than him and will remain so, but set that aside).

More to the point, though. Every time the topic of women dressing up comes up on reddit, there is always a chorus of women saying that they don't dress up for men, they dress up either to impress each other, or just to feel better about themselves. I don't know if that's true or not. It's certainly awfully convenient that they way they dress to feel better about themselves happens to be the one most likely to interest men. And also, they only dance because they enjoy dancing, but it also happens that they do it where men will see them doing it.

But still, bitterness aside, I kind of agree with that way of framing things. I mean, isn't that what people always say on seddit? Don't improve yourself for others, improve yourself for yourself. When I put on nice clothes, I don't think, "Damn, those pants really frame my ass for any girl who might be looking." I just don't think that way. Honestly, I don't think they care about my ass. So maybe it's true that they don't dress up for men either. But, at least, there's more than one way of looking at it.
