To answer your question, there is nothing wrong with it IF she is distantly enough related to your specific job that if things went bad it wouldn't turn into a shitstorm for you. Otherwise, don't shit where you eat. Even if it goes well for a while and the girl is amazing, one bad move and you have a horrible love life AND a horrible job. That's really putting all your marbles in one basket...

Ninja Edit: Also make sure to remember that girls have to be professional when at work, so if outside of work she wouldn't want anything to do with you - inside she might seem very nice. Because of this you are going to have to really be aware of how she is reacting to you so you don't end up in a really sticky situation (like trying to kiss her and getting hit with sexual harassment, for example) don't cross the lines. Strictly business inside the company.

Plausible deniability is your best friend. Think about this: no matter what goes down, you have to see them again. That ALONE, you must tread super carefully.

If you do decide to get involved with a girl, do everything within your power to avoid making anything public. Don't be seen leaving together, don't be seen flirting in public areas, etc etc. Let it be her choice that shit gets out, not yours. Protect her reputation.

Also, screen the girls RELENTLESSLY. That last thing you need is to discover a girl is nuts, stop seeing her, and then have crazy psycho girl work with you.

Basically, now that I'm typing this out, it really seems like a terrible idea.

I learned this the hard way a long time ago. Once upon a time I had a job teaching English in Japan. There were a lot of hot sales chicks that worked with me. Inevitably I stuck my hand in the cookie jar and started dating one. Which was great at first. She would hook me up with the best schedule on the board everyday. I could fuck her in the office when no one was around. It was golden... until I realized she was bat shit crazy and I wanted to move on. At which point my coffee started tasting a little uriny. Every woman 80+ who either stutters endlessly or craps their pants mid lesson suddenly found their way onto my schedule... and in the end I had to request a transfer to get away from that crazy bitch.

End of story.

I think it depends on the atmosphere. For example, I'm a waiter. Yes, I wait tables. But the opportunities to practice talking to people are endless.

Really, it's a shitty job and all but it has its advantages. I've been doing it for a few years and because of that, I have no problem talking to absolute strangers. It really helps the social aspect. Talking to complete strangers no longer bothers me.

Quick anecdote - I thought the, we're young, let's have fun vibe was mutual with my co-worker (also a really large company), so we shacked a couple of nights and lots of heavy stuff, but no sex. Turns out she really liked me in the BF type of way and it all went downhill from there. Unless you want to marry this girl. Don't do it.

Don't. But make friends with all of them. THINK ABOUT IT, THEY CAN INTRODUCE YOU TO HOT GIRLS OUTSIDE OF THE COMPANY. potential: endless. Plus who doesn't love having lots of platonic girl friends? Once you have other options for sex/relationships I mean. Abundance mindset is key here.

Be wary. I dated a girl from work for a few months. Ended.. not well. Thankfully it's been quiet.

I committed the cardinal sin of being seen with her among other co-workers. Now I get a lot of "how's she doing?" And that's awkward beyond belief.

Certainly, if you have a good eye for the appropriate time to subtly make gestures and also in avoiding situations where it is becoming awkward (bear in mind to keep a playful personality as opposed to your work-mode mentality when trying to game). It's hard, even more so in a work environment, but it's a skill and it can be improved if you got heart.
