One thing that helped me with eye-contact, not necessarily with a crush, was to focus on either their left or right eyeball first, then alternating to the other one after a few seconds. Not only does this seem to make your eyes twinkle to make you seem more interested or whatever, but it makes it less awkward if you feel like you're staring.

You can also pretend that something in the background catches your eye as you're listening or talking. This gives you time to compose yourself slightly before you go in for another round of eye-contact. Never look away for more than like 2 seconds as that's a major conversation buzzkill.

But yes, it's largely just talking to girls and getting practice looking in their eyes. Practice with some female friends and you'll get the hang of it.

Just get more experience talking to girls as you said. You shouldn't be freezing up just because you are experiencing hotness. I know I kind of have the same problem (not as bad) because I get an erection a lot when I'm with a hot girl.

Focus on what you are going to say next rather than her body.

It's a habit. Just got to look everyone you wanna look at in the eye. Try looking people in the eyes when you talk to them or they are talking to you. Friends, family, work people, etc. This will make it easier to get used to.

I'm not a pro at eye contact by any means but something that helped me was to make a triangle with your eyes. Alternate between both eyes and the mouth. I'm getting a lot better now.
