I was at a bar after work yesterday with a buddy, and I noticed this extremely hot waitress kept looking at me. When I'd catch her, she'd look away. By catch her I mean I wasn't looking at her, but could feel her looking at me; when I'd look at her, her head would dart away.

When we're leaving, I go up to her as she's standing in a corner talking to another waitress. I shake her hand and ask her name. She lights up (or at least I think she did?) and tells me. I tell her mine and I say "Well I think you're really cute and I wanted to come meet you. are you single?"

She replies "I'm 18."

So was she saying I am too old for her, or she is too young for me? I kind of stalled so I handed her my business card and told her to get in touch with me if she ever wants to hang out.

For context I am 35 but am told I look around 28. I thought she was 22 or 23 before I approached her.

How did I do? Any insights?
