I read this on this subreddit, actually, but what you need to realize is you won't be standing out at all. When you see a group of 5 guys together, they're all just standing there at the edge of the dance floor, bobbing their heads. They're there to pick up women and it's obvious. With that in mind, you shouldn't look out of place at all. If someone asks where your friends are, tell them, "I'm here to make new ones!".

As you've heard before, it really comes down to confidence. If you're comfortable and in frame, nobody will question you.

It probably wont come up, but it can vary depending on the girl. Some might think it's creepy, some might think it's good that your getting out and having a good time despite not having any friends to do it with (or trying to make some new friends).

It's not creepy as long as you're not creepy. I picked up the girl that I am currently seeing while out at a bar by myself. At one point she asked me where my friends were, and I told her that I came out alone. She was actually kind of impressed saying, "Damn, you got some balls man."

Dude the best times are going solo. Last night I went out with 30+ people some of them good friends. Did I need them to have a good time? No... As selfish as this may sound your there for yourself. Your own amusement. Its you and who ever you meet.

People roll in packs because safety in numbers. I like to think of them as balls of bait fish. I believe when you leave the bait fish you have a better chance of not getting caught in self judgmental states by what the baitfish think of you.

Thanks everyone for the posts but my mate has just rang me asking me if I wanted to go out tonight, so am no longer solo! But I will use all of your advice if I do it in the near future!

Do it! Make your criteria for success so damn low. Just motivating yourself to go out is a win. Allow yourself to ejaculate pleasure chemicals on your brain. Then go the next step up. Say hi to a dude in the lineup and shoot the breeze. Then the bouncer. Then talk to the first person you see inside. If you do this stuff itll be an awesome night. Set small goals but don't put too much importance on each one and just do it

When I go to clubs I split up from my friends and sometimes girls will shit test me by saying: "where are your friends?", to which I respond with one of two comments,

First wiping away my fake tears, then telling them "I have no friends!" And hugging them passionately haha
Grabbing the nearest dude/girl next to me and saying right here! Then shake their hand or hug them nonchalantly.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but it helps me a bunch!

Don't worry about it. I did the same thing last night-- turned out way better than when my friends were with me.
