Cinco de Mayo was busy, but the owner at the club "Loft" managed to bump a small party so I could get myself and friends into VIP. Apparently the VIP section had been booked up for over a month.

The club was absolutely at maximum capacity. The floor was shoulder to shoulder, the dance floor had a better mosh pit than most concerts I've been to.

After a few shots of tequila, it was time to start talking to the girls. I noticed there were two girls sitting at the opposite end of the VIP section, chatting with the VIP bouncer- Caleb. I made my way over.

"Hey Caleb," I put my hand on the bouncer's back as I spoke, "what's it going to take to get one of those pinatas down here for a lady friend of mine?" I spoke loudly enough for the girls to hear and pointed to one of the decorative pinatas hanging from the ceiling above everybody's reach.

"Desmond, for you, I'm sure we'll make something happen. Let me do some research for you." He then finished putting the wrist bands on the two girls and introduced me. "Desmond, have you met these two very classy ladies? This is Alicia, and this is Maya." He turned to the ladies, "Ladies, this is one of the best guys I know- Desmond."

You just don't beat a bouncer introduction like that.

Alicia was tall, pretty and shy. Her friend, Maya, however was short and outspoken. Even at the introduction she was rude. "Whatever dude, we're busy here so go away."

"Wow!" I leaned over towards Alicia, "Is your friend always like this?"

Maya perked up and looked mad, "I heard you! And no, I'm only like this to guys who shouldn't be here."

"I'm just celebrating the Cinco de Mayo! Surely you ladies will help us celebrate! We're all friends here!"

"I'm the only true Mexican here, you don't have any right to celebrate." Maya didn't look Mexican, but she did have an ethnicity that I couldn't quite pin down.

"Well Maya, obviously you being the true Mexican puts us at a disadvantage! None of us can grow quite the Mexican mustache you can! What's your secret?"

Her friend laughed but Maya wasn't having it.
