My friend and I have different views. He's interested in "Californication" because there are boobies. I actually enjoy the well written plot-lines and characters. I consider it to be a cautionary tale (showing the good times but also the consequences). He finds all that "story" stuff to be boring.

That being said, is there anything to be learned from Hank Moody's (David Duchovny) character and how he approaches women, or more accurately, how he doesn't appear to pursue them and they're simply drawn to him? I appreciate the show because it's not all "Be a man! Take what you want!" which is how this subreddit comes across sometimes. Odd that art imitates life more accurately sometime.
