Title is a quote from nihckered's post. It's the exact thought clogging up my mind right now. I'm 23 and just started dating/seducing women/thinking like a "PUA" this summer. I went at it hard and it's gone well. Reaping the rewards has been validating and worthwhile. I learned that I do enjoy making connections with people mentally and physically, contrary to my prior mindset of "I like being lonely and I'm just fine by myself". While I'm glad to be more confident and outgoing, I can't help thinking back to that time when I believed I was truly happy by myself. I took the magic pill (metaphorically speaking of course) and I can't go back to being alone.

Outcome independence - I have it for seduction. I don't have a problem with anxiety anymore and the "I don't give a fuck" mentality is probably why. That and daily workouts. And being happy (which is partially a result), but I digress. Anyway here's my problem - after a few dates I get more dependent. I think it's because I don't want to be alone... I like the idea of having a steady girl and as soon as the possibility arises - I lose my cool. Seriously, all the suaveness and charm I might the first few dates goes out the window. I become a blubbering idiot with ideas of romantic dinners and moonlit walks on the beach. I've read that appearing like you need a companion is unattractive, and I definitely get that. In fact, when a girl appears needy I'll run for the hills. I guess there's nothing really to say but get past it and act with confidence. Which is what I think I'll try and do. Thanks seddit.
