I'll copy/paste this from another forum i just wrote it on (it's not as detailed as my last one cause theres more to tell):

Ok, so earlier i decided to go out on my own. Then i pussed out. Decided that i didnt want to wander round a club and not approach anyone then go home having wasted money getting a taxi and going into a club.

But then i changed my mind again, and just fucking did it anyway.

Not only did i NOT fail to approach - but i was an approaching machine. Probably made a good 7 solid approaches and also did a few situational type things which i wont count.

For anyone who's considered doing it - i say give it a try. The first approach was the hardest - i went full on direct with a girl at the bar, but it went well despite the rejection (she had a boyfriend, i asked the name and she didnt hesitate so i believe he wasnt made up). Despite having a boyfriend she was very friendly and receptive, had a bit of banter with her then went on my way feeling great after the most painless rejection ever.

My next approach was a '2 set' on the dance floor (arguably the easiest type of set of approach in my opinion) - i told them i liked their santa outfits, they reacted very positively and i wished them a merry christmas and we had a group hug. I asked for their names then using the names asked the less attractive one if i could hit on [name]. She laughed and said yes then i focused on the more attractive one (6.5 if im honest). Danced with her a little, put her arms round my neck and went for the kiss. Success. Made out with her for like 10 mins but then the ****ing friend dragged her away. I told the friend that she couldnt seperate us and tried to plough on but fatty wouldnt budge so i got the number and went on my way.

Feeling great at this point.

I make a few less notable approaches here and there - overall lack of success but a few decent interactiond anyway that at the very least kept me 'in state'.

The next bit of success came from a girl who was sat of her own texting. I go up to her and tell her she looks bored, she responds with a laugh and tells me she's stopped dancing cause her feet hurt. We talk a little then i try to get her to the dance floor (or in my world, the make out floor). She doesnt accept but she's attracted to me so i decide to go for the kiss after a bit more talking and boom - more making out. She stops it after like a minute though but stays warm to me. I talk a bit more then more kissing. Same sort of thing again but the conversation is starting to go stale as she's not particularly interesting. Time to more on.

I should mention that my 'strategy' is generally a bit of dancing, then move from bar to bar getting tap waters - more dancing - etc etc. Dancing on my own was great because it put me in a less awkward mood once i got used to the fact that occasionally people would notice that im on my own.

The next bit of success comes from me waiting at the bar again. 3 girls, 1 hot and 2 gross, the hot one 1 gross one are dancing at the bar - i go between them with my arm on each ones shoulder and ask them to buy me a water because they're free. They laugh at me for wanting water and i banter with them for a while. I ask one of the uglies if i can flirt with her friend, she accepts. A little more flirting with the hot one and I try to extract her a little away from the bar - she's uncomfortable with not being with her friends annoyingly but she's still smiling and flirting with me so i plough on. After they get their drinks we go to the dance floor. I get a few brief kiss closes with the hot one but nothing special unfortunately. (she was a good 8/10). After a bit more dancing and more resistance from her one friend wants to head back to the bar so off we go - i decide that it's not going particularly well and im not exactly getting a huge amount of interest from this girl aside from a little kissing when im able to persuade her so i decide it's time to go. I get the number for the sake of it.

By this point its about 2:45am so i decide to call it a night - even though none of the kisses were particularly GOOD for some reason, it was still a "3 K-close and 3 -N-close" night so i'd call it pretty successful.

Not sure that im interested in any of the numbers if im honest, except maybe the last one - and they're all likely to flake - but im still pleased with my first ever solo mission.

ALSO while i was there, a girl im fairly interested in text me (she;s the one who's on holiday at the moment so texting is super slow) so im pleased about that too.

CLIFFS:

-First approach was scary but the girl was super nice and flattered. Boyfriend though.

-Got 3 pretty lame make outs and their numbers

-Despite lameness, still very pleased with how it went after fearing the worst.

-Midway through night, different girl text me - yay.
