Wow this is lame.

You think keeping a minimalist profile will somehow attract girls to you? Most girls like it when they can see that a guy is willing to share parts of himself with them and other people. When I see someone with a closed profile because they don't spend much time on facebook: okay, understandable. But if I see someone with an intentionally minimalist profile (and it's obvious when this is so) I assume that they're not down to earth or confident enough to be honest and display themselves and their thoughts to the world, don't have anything interesting to say, or they're trying to pretend like they don't give a shit to seem cool. It's an immediate douchebag hipster warning sign for me.

Just be yourself and don't try to turn every facet of your life into a method for luring women into it. SUCH a huge turn-off.

Everyone in this thread is overthinking this. Seriously, nobody cares what a Facebook profile looks like unless it's obnoxious (20 posts a day/endless game spam/"funny" photo spam) or it's creepy (constantly sending out creep messages to girls who have turned you down/endless statuses about how you can't get laid because you're such a nice guy and girls are such bitches).

Facebook is a window into your life, it's like having your own private newspaper and TV channel following you. Use it.

Use it to document the extraordinary life that you are living, and that people would like to be part of, be them male (social validation) or female (pick and choose the ones you want to ..... with).

Here's my problem with a good portion of the /r/seduction community: there's a lot of supply and demands for a bag of tricks like: how do I (fake) social capital? How about having social capital so that you don't have to fake it. Even if such a trick existed, that you could fake to a stranger that you indeed have an interesting life and a lot of friends... so what? Sooner or later you would be found out that your life has nothing to be documented on a place like Facebook.

Yes, this is the point where I state the usual be yourself, here if comes: BE YOURSELF!.

Do you like to go to the movies? Go! And put it on Facebook that you are going (a couple of days advance notice) and invite anyone who wants to join (it helps if you already ahve plans with a couple of mates that you can tag in the invite).

Do you like photography? Go practice it. and post on FB

Learning to play guitar? ibid

Creative writing? ibid

Dinner with friends? ibid

Are you reading an interesting book? ibid

TL;DR: Strategy: have an mazing life. Tactic: post highlights on FB.

I don't see my facebook as a way of trying to attract girls. I use it just to talk to my friends and advertise my music (musician here).

Most of my tagged pictures are of me sweating and gurning on stage with the band, in no way making any attractive poses. I don't control my tagged pictures, why should I hide anything unless I absolutely have to?

In terms of seduction, I see it as a "here, this is me, take it or leave it" page for the woman. If I want to sleep with a certain woman, I talk to them, not hope that the facebook page does the talking for me.

I got a friend who has marked every single oversea-city he has visited as a lifehappening (not sure what it's called in English).

It seems too showoff to actually impress girls.

Though having some pictures of you while traveling or skydiving for example could be a bit DHV imo.

On phone, formatting and swedish T9 might be weird, can give more opinions when on PC.

Simple answer. Don't have a "tactic". Just be yourself. Post what you like and find interesting. Don't post tons of stupid shit. Only add friends/girls that you want to have an actual interaction with. Basically, just be fucking normal. Otherwise it looks creepy or like you're trying to hard.

My facebook tactic is, when a girl I'm interested in requests my friendship on facebook, I don't accept it (I don't deny it, I just leave it in limbo). A few dates later she'll ask, "Why haven't you accepted my friendship on Facebook?" I say, "Because I want to get to know you in person, instead you instantly finding everything about me online." SPLOOSH. Instant panty moistener.

Don't bother with one.

I'm serious. The only reason I still have a Facebook profile is due to work, school, some friends that don't regularly use their phones and people abroad that don't use skype.

Using facebook for dating reveals too much about yourself (especially the fact that you are online and available, which means you are not out doing awesome stuff). But if you have to or need to use it you should indeed have it as closed as humanly possible.
