Well if they are saying that its pretty much a sign that they do not want to hang out. I would focus less on trying to re-frame that into something good and more into making a more solid approach. Are you opening confidently? Good eye contact and a smile? Loud voice and good intonation?

The more you work on fundamentals like that the more you are going to see girls being receptive and all of a sudden not being out on a girls night.

On the other hand, if you really just want to go for it you can try wedging your way in by saying something like, "Five minutes, we will leave after that" Or just completely ignoring what she says and just continuing to talk to them. They may repeatedly tell you to leave in which case you don't really have much choice or they may be ok with letting you stay.

it's a very socially acceptable dismissal, accept it gracefully. the best way i can think around it is later, via server, buy them both a drink or a snack.

Girls: Sorry, but we were kinda having a girls' night out.

Me: So were we, that's why we wanted to introduce ourselves.

Your reply is exactly correct.

You need to read their body language and tone. Do they mean it? Could your line not be, "So are we! Let me buy everyone a drink to celebrate a night with just us ladies and no weird dudes interrupting us to try and buy us drinks."

If it's a simple shit test, they'll laugh more than they should, as they did when you didn't push forward with your line.
