Idk were your problem is. I am working in retail(germany) and it is incredibly easy to get into a conversation with cute girls that go to that store. Just try it. As long as it looks natural no one is giving a shit ;)

Opening up with a statement makes things kinda easy there. as example: "let's talk for a minute." Works almost always for me(looking confident is 90% here in my opinion). South germany here though :p

chances skyrocket if the girl looks bored or if you made a statement about something she really likes. At least that is my experience.

I used to live in Hamburg. It's got the most insane nightlife scene I've ever seen, and I never really tried much daygame, at least with strangers (not really my thing in any country). But Northern Germans are some of the friendliest people around; they just display it differently. You're obviously not in Greece. If you comment on something noticeable to her and smile at her, she'll almost certainly join you in a conversation. I really feel that this is just a confidence thing, just like approaching in a bar atmosphere. It feels unthinkable to very shy or awkward guys, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.

That's why it's going to work. You'll stand out. You'll show you're brave. Go all in, like Julien does - shout at them and order them around. "Hey! Girl in a white dress! Yes you. Come over here! Sit down. What's your name?". Go for the impossible and you'll be surprised how easy it is. Because no-one else does it. I know it's not easy. You have to become comfortable with it first. But then you become used to it and it becomes easy. I used to dread having to put my hand around a girl at the club, but then I tried and ... holy shit it worked. She smiled. She got closer to me. None of them pushed me away.

Ich fühle mit Dir. Es ist einfacher wenn man Leute/Mädels über den (erweiterten) Freundeskreis kennenlernt oder bei diversen Freizeitaktivitäten. Aber es sollte auch so funktionieren, wenn Du nicht gerade rüber kommst, als wolltest Du etwas verkaufen. Ich hab ein paar Mädels kennengelernt, als ich mit dem Zug quer durch Deutschland gefahren bin. Ein anderes mal hab ich eine Blondine kennengelernt als ich beim Bäcker in der Schlange stand. Eventuell würde auch ein Café gehen. Irgendetwas, wo die Menschen in Freizeitstimmung sind.

It's your reality they are just living in it. I picked up german girls and they would all tell me that "zis would never work in Germany..." Some even had the self illusion capabilities to tell me that my game would never work on german women, chicks would pant that line out post coitus.

Germans think they know how everything works (see immanuel kant), which might lead you to believe that something germans told you about how things "are done around here" should carry weight. Germans have a penchant for confidence in the face of obviously faulty data sets. I sat in a meeting where our projected engine sales for one year meant that we would be selling 437.25 engines... those arrogant fucks said that we would be selling a .25 of an engine with a straight face...

You are making excuses, and that's ok if that's what you want to do, but if you want to make some memorable encounters with girls... you need to approach, approach, refine, approach, ad nauseum

Are you German? If not, do you speak fluent German? It's always harder to pull if you are a foreigner, no matter what country you're staying in.

I took three years of German in highschool. I only remember curse words, and for some reason the word for calculator.

You're already in North Germany, maybe a move to the Netherlands would help. I used to go there as a kid and it is pretty hard to get someone to open up to you there.

Yeah, they're a little more reserved than, say, North Americans. But that's really just a tendency. Try eye contact first and see whether she's creeped out or not before you approach her.

There's something about the fear of creeps, rapists, etc., which seems stronger. I'm no woman, I can't quite feel the same, but some girls already told me about that.
