If you've ever read Tim Ferris's books (4 hour workweek, body, etc), one of the things that he mentions is the fastest way to get really good at something is to find the people that are anomalys and copy what they do.

For example, it wouldn't make sense to ask a handsome 6'4 rich guy what his tricks are for meeting women, because most likely his techniques don't matter. You also wouldn't want to interview someone like Lance Armstrong about why his biking technique is the best, because he's mostly just a genetic freak with crazy lung capacity. (nevermind the drugs, you get the idea).

Even average type people can do pretty well, but I'm curious what techniques are working really well for those that are already heavily disadvantaged (very physically unattractive and not rich, etc).

Is there anyone in the community or someone you know who might match this description?

I'm not trying to make people feel bad by calling them out, but more interested in congratulating them on their cleverness and learning from them.
