So we all encourage each other to go out to Bars/Clubs/Lounges at night and make multiple cold approaches to attractive women we don't know. I think cold approaches are fundamental to building your skills and the nightlife provides an environment free of consequences as you don't need to see these women ever again.

However, I've found much more success dating women that I've met through get-togethers, parties, social events, school functions, or mutual friends. It is definitely not as difficult as these environments are more intimate and you're bound to have something in common (mutual friends, classes taken, clubs/organizations, etc). They also won't have their guard up like the women in a bar.

Do you guys think men spend too much time at bars and clubs and not enough time expanding their social circle? Of course the more intimate the setting, the more consequences your actions may have (labeled as a creep, etc). I love the thrill of doing cold approaches in public but have found it usually doesn't equate into actual closes. But I'm still learning. So what do you guys think?
