do you mean going alone to hit on a girl who is part of a mixed set? I don't blame you, that is hard to do, and usually not as effective as finding non-mixed sets.

Focus in on the girl. Joke with the guys about them being her boyfriend. That's what I've done in the past and it works. Often, it exposes that one of the guys is in love with her.

Had a guy offer to fight me because he obviously loved the girl, got drunk after I was initally talking to the girl, then asked if I wanted to fight him. I declined.

You can do really well with mixed sets because you are showing the women that you have real confidence. Just be cool with the dudes and make sure you aren't hitting on their girlfriends (how do you guys know each other?). Sometimes dudes will help you because they already have a different target in the set. Don't be afraid to train and use pivots and wings.

This is in your head. That's it. The only reason you can't run your game is because you're distracting yourself with nonsensical, irrational thoughts like this.

You can run sets with guys watching, with mixed sets, non-mixed sets with guys watching. It doesn't matter.

Furthermore, I want you to think about the following:

Sometimes, the girl will telegraph to you that she wants you, or someone else, to save her from a guy who's around her trying to get to her.
Sometimes there will be a guy in a mixed set that wants a girl in his group but is friend-zoned or lacking the balls to do anything about it.

There are a ton of variations whereby a guy will be in the area who wants the girl, but who doesn't have a chance or not as much as you do. In those cases, of course the guys won't want to see you succeed. But who the FUCK cares?! You're not trying to seduce a fucking douchebag guy, are you?! So stop wasting your time worrying about what you think they might maybe possibly think. It doesn't matter one fucking bit, even if they do want you to fail. Let 'em think whatever the hell they want.

It's not as hard as it sounds. Trust me. First of all, if she's not with any of the guys already then they aren't competition. If anything was going to happen between them, it would be happening.

But you're right, a guy can spot a guy's pick-up attempts from a mile away. this is where playing your hand close to your chest is to your advantage. Find something to engage the whole group in. Let it feel like you are naturally drawn to your "target" more than the rest of them, but never stop engaging the rest of the circle.

In fact, if you can get her friends to like you, THEY will go to bat for you. Multiple, short and charming interactions over the course of a few drinks is worth more to you than trying to have one long conversation where you consistently stay the center of attention. You don't want them to get sick of you, and you don't want to have so much attention where you start making hit-and-miss jokes.

The other guys will feel threatened if they can't be the one who is charming at least some of the time. let them shine a couple of times. Remember, they aren't competition. Even if they're interested in her, they have the in as a friend, so if it was going to happen, it already would have.

Wait until the end of the night before attempting to isolate. AFTER her friends (especially the male friends) are comfortable with you, and won't think twice about her disappearing for ten minutes to chat with you. This is where you can exchange numbers or invite her for a private drink.

A lot of the time guys want to get their female friends laid. Seriously. So get on their good side, and let them do the work for you.

You are thinking too much about what people think. Its kinda like when you were a kid and you were always scared that people would know you liked a girl. Part of being a confident man is not being ashamed or shy about what you want. I picked up a girl sitting at a communal table in coffee shop a few months back. There were dudes sitting directly next to us. However I wanted this girl and I didn't care if people were listening. Selective apathy is a great skill to learn. Also on a side note most of the guys listening in are probably jealous that they didn't have the balls to approach a girl in public.

You're out to have fun; to create it and share it, and meet cool people. Or at least you should be. So who cares if there's dudes around? Talk to them too. Get them involved. Be a social person. Maybe even approach another set with them and wingman for them. Be alpha.

Don't let their presence throw you off. Worst case scenario, they're dicks; in which case, just laugh it off and don't let if affect you. Or they'll inform you that these girls are taken, in which case you apologize and act like a normal human.

You don't care if they judge you. Their ill-formed opinion of you is meaningless. If they're thinking "let's see this guy fail", they're feeding off others failures, in which case they're bottom-feeding losers who are too afraid to try themselves: the biggest kind of failures. Your bravery is success by itself.

This might sound very conceited, childish, and just really dumb but I love running game whilst the homies are watching. I tell them to "watch and learn" and if I succeed they think I'm cool and treat me as a hero! However if I get rejected (and it's happened in front of friends before), I play it off like "she wasn't that nice anyway". It also makes for a funny story later.

let em watch, an audience is the best, it makes it feel even cooler. Your anxiety rushes but so does your adrenaline, acknowledge them but dont focus on them. I've hit on girls and their moms in the same set haha im sure you can do it, i usually dont approach when there are guys in the set because theres so many other options at venues but if i was interested i wouldnt let it stop me. They're more like to admire you than judge you, honestly.

Hitting on a girl surrounded by males is some high-level shit, especially if she's a 7 or higher, so you're game is gonna have to be extra tight. Unless she's an extra cold stunner, If you don't feel confident, don't even bother.
