I like to consider myself as a decent looking college guy, not handsome but not bad either. Almost on a daily basis, I'm exposed to many new people, especially girls, but only rarely can I get to the point of being friends, let alone a relationship. I think the problem is simply that I'm a boring person and can't make interesting conversations. I'm too serious. Whenever I'm with a group of people, everyone is laughing and making jokes, but I'm the only one whose not making those jokes and getting people to laugh. When people try to engage me in the conversation by asking questions, my first impulse is to say the most boring thing possible and then I get largely ignored. I don't blame them because this is 100% my fault. My mind is too logical/analytic not spontaneous. This situation is worse when I'm with girls. When I intentionally try my hardest to be random, I usually come of as being rude and offending. For various reasons that are no longer an issue, I never had any friends as a kid. My first true friend that I actually hung out with outside of school was when I was in high school a few years ago. I grew up as a complete introvert and thus I never had a chance to develop my social skills. Now I feel stuck and unable to attract any girls. Do you guys have any suggestions?
