What are you favorite questions to build rapport and connection?

Girls who have a hobby (photography, art, songwriting, poetry etc...) always ask them "What is their favourite piece and why?" You'd be surprised at how many people havent asked them that question.

I've found that if you really get them to explain it leads into some pretty cool conversations

It also fun asking them which is their least favourite.

"How was your day/weekend?"

"It was good"

"Oh yeah? What was your favorite part?"

It starts as typical bullshit small talk with a meaningless reflexive answer but then it gets them to pause and think about what they actually enjoyed most in their day/weekend. Sometimes I'll even ask them for a top 3 list. I've definitely received positive responses on this.

Honestly I kinda hate these questions because most people will struggle to answer them, and they feel very interviewy. The best way to establish rapport is not by asking questions, but by making statements. Notice how you talk to people you already have rapport with, you just say things back and forth with your friends, it's not mainly or even started by questions. I would hate it if someone asked me these questions on a date

"What TV shows do you like?" Is always a good intro question. Not a hard question and if you have one in common it gives you an exciting positive conversation topic.

The best questions are the ones that come natural. When you're in the moment and when you're listening is when those questions come. You will naturally feel that connection and be intrigued to ask more but it has to happen on the spot and naturally

Memorizing questions will come off scripted and awkward, what you should do instead is relate to people.

Ask open ended questions and learn things about her, but bring in your own ideas and relevant stories to the conversation. You need to be able to talk about anything, even if it's outside your comfort zone. Ask questions and find things to relate to, think on your feet. Its easy if you have the same interests but sometimes you'll come from far different backgrounds. But there's also gonna be something in common.

But seriously any question that they cannot answer with one word (like yes or no questions and where do u work etc) are solid. Also following up with a Why question can help

Yea the questions do sound like a job interview, but they are not intended to be asked right after another. And they should be woven into the conversation.
