A lot has already been said here, and I'd like to stress once more than 'women' aren't one entity just like 'men' aren't – there are lots of nerdy girls lacking social skills, as well as situations that make your average emotionally-savvy woman needy and clingy.

However, there is also a neurological aspect to it:

Men's brains were shown to have stronger connections between the front and back regions of the brain, and were mostly confined to individual hemispheres, whereas women's brain had stronger connections between the left and right hemispheres. The obtained maps of neural circuitry were supportive of old stereotypes according to which men's brains are more suited for perception and coordination, and women's brains are more suited for social skills and multitasking.

So yeah, it's very likely that women are pre-equipped with better social skills than men.

Another factor is probably experience: when you've had to deal with dozens or hundreds of suitors in your life, you get better at 'game' automatically.

You mean the women you select in your life are always "10 steps ahead of you emotionally." Because you choose them, either consciously or subconsciously.

Basically, it feels like most women in this age group don't fall victim to the same 'traps' that men do when it comes to seduction / dating.

10 steps of you emotionally is NOT the same thing as "not falling victim to the same 'traps' that men do." Do women face different challenges? Sure. Does that mean they're more "advanced?" No. As a group, trying to generalize about them has limited utility at best.

For example, ive rarely met women that get a strong case of oneitis.

You're probably not as aware as you think as you are...... Girls don't really have to languish in a case of "oneitis," the way guys have to, because they don't have to have good game to attract more guys.

However, they do suffer from neediness and other issues related to the problem of having unrealistic expectations in dating.

Women also seem to have a much better understanding of healthy 'progression' in a relationship.

Why do you say this?

There's nothing about women that renders this a natural thing for them. For just as many who have their head on straight, there are plenty who have dysfunctional relationships. Rather like men, they are.

It feels like almost every woman I know has a healthy understanding of social interaction and their own desires.

Uh, no. To be blunt, I've seen too much for this to even pass the laugh test, as a general assessment of either men or women.

They may understand social interactions, sure. But their own desires are just as opaque to them as they can be for guys.

Sure there are exceptions to the rule, but in general it feels like women instinctively understand 'the game'. One great example is how most men would accept an 'emotionally fragile/needy' woman, whereas most women would not accept an 'emotionally fragile/needy' man.

Uh, no. There are plenty of women out there who go for broken men, just as men out there can be attracted to needy, broken women.

All of anything can't be at a high level. At lot of women are also awkward or misread social cues. After all, they're human just like us. I've seen it said before and I say it again, why does the community in general believe that every woman is a social guru?

You perceive women as being complete naturals because of the value society has given them as opposed to your average chump. Because of this value they don't give off bad social traits as often as these guys do, you can see the inverse when she comes across a high value guy and gets attached, jealous etc... so basically no they aren't naturals, it's just that social constructs have allowed them the ability to bypass what most guys have too go through to become good at game.

People are people. Doesn't matter if you are male or female, some are naturals are seduction, some are just terrible at it.

Women give mixed signals, misread cues, over analyze things, etc just like men. This phenomenon isn't exclusive to men. Women just tend to have stronger emotional intelligence, so they have that ability to interpret social interactions slightly better.

It's because men and women look for different things (attraction triggers) in a mate.

Also, women are more socially intelligent if that is what you mean. Part of it is...they are raised that way (socially) and part is possibly being right brained.

Women start out with a larger deck of cards because in todays society it is the mans role to approach and engage the girl. There for the first, and a few of the following meetups are very much dependent on how the guy play the limited amount of cards he has. If he flukes, there will be a new line of men waiting to take their turn at seducing said girl.

This is true in a sense because they are the reason "the game" exists. They are the reason we try to become better at seduction, and they're seemingly born that way. I'm not guessing either; this is the fucking law.

you're putting them on a pedestal and giving them a lot more credit than they deserve.

the chicks I'm friends with act high and mighty on the outside, but are emotional wrecks in the inside. women are nearly the sole source of the billions in profit made from Prozac and Zoloft and xanax.

do they think about the emotional stuff more than you? definitely. but it's akin to the way a person with obsessive compulsive disorder thinks about flipping the light switch 100 times. lots of thinking thinking thinking of absolutely no consequence.
