Let's look at this from a scientific aspect: genetically speaking, we are attracted to traits of strength and dominance. This equates to stronger features, powerful physique, and lean figures. Now, over time, and due to our individual experiences, we garner preferences that become more appealing than others; blondes v. brunettes, ass v. breasts, pecs v. arms, etc., but at our base, we still look at those things we genetically equate to strength and dominance, if for no other reason than to ensure the propagation of a strong offspring and bloodline.

I always say: the number of women who like cuddling with a big guy will always be less than the number of women who want to lick ice cream off a set of rock hard abs.

On a side note: regarding your success rate now: Believe it or not, women are sometimes intimidated by a REALLY fit man. Even if he's super hot and attractive, they sometimes become self conscious and the idea of dating someone who onviously works out regularly and takes great care of their body becomes a turn off when they spend their days on the couch with a quart of ice cream binge watching Orange is the new black. I've experienced this myself and have actually had more than one woman tell me that, while they find me very attractive, the fact that I was in great shape made me undateable to them. I quote: "You'd try to have me all in the gyn five days a week on the stair machine and I'm just not ready for all that." And when I tried to express that I wouldn't ask that of them and like them the way they are, I've been told "But who wants to be the fat girl walking into a party with the buff guy. I dont want people looking at yoh going 'Damn! He works out!' and then looking at me going 'Damn! She eats cake!'" It's funny but its really how some women feel/think. I once heard someone say a woman may prefer looking at a body like John Cena's, but she'd rather lay next to one like Orlando Bloom becuase it makes her feel better about her own body.

Do what you like your body to look like. I have my ideal body in mind, not solely because that's what women like, but instead it's what I like and strive for.

If men put the kind of effort they think they need to impress women with their body into impressing women with literally every other way, they would do much, much better.

That time could be spent learning talents, magic tricks, poetry, or practicing intimate conversations or openers.

Looks are important, but honestly beyond having good teeth, managed skincare, neatly trimmed haircut, clean well fitting clothes, and clean nails, you can be fat, fit, or skinny with hardly any difference.

I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing your less than 21ish.

I was 6'2" 190lbs to 210lbs and all muscle from 17 onward. I found that during my younger years (high school, early college) very few girls my age were interested in me. However my friends who were 5'11 to 6 ft and 150lbs had much more success attracting women in our age range. I think I just looked bigger, older, more mature and it scared them. I was only successful in dating girls older than me, and I had to be careful to avoid mentioning my age. It wasn't until my sophomore year in college that I felt girls were no longer intimidated by me and their interests caught up to my older more masculine looks.

Young women are probably intimidated and scared by your size. Don't get me wrong some can handle it, but most haven't matured with their taste in men, and want that skinny non-threatening boy band look. My advise, get shredded and loose the bulk you can always gain it back later. If you want to stay big, just remember your probably going to loose out on a segment of women who may be intimidated by you.

18 y.o male here. i have a horrible body type, the dreaded skinnyfat. I've worked my way out of the potbelly (I still have excess fat there, in the process of getting rid of it) and my arms are not as skinny as they were two years ago, but my body is really nothing to muse over. Somehow I managed to land a tanned 19 year old blonde and she loves my body, and when I said that I was going to start working out again, started crying because she didn't want my body to change! She's only ever had one other boyfriend, before me, and he was a heavy gym goer. She told me that she doesn't find anything appealing about rock hard abs: rather, my body type, which is apparently "the right amount of fat to snuggle without actually being fat".

A few years back, some online dating site did a study where they showed women pictures of different men and asked the women to tell them what kind of personality the guy probably had. The study found that overweight men were perceived as having low self-esteem, skinny men were perceived as being intelligent but cowardly, and men with athletic/muscular physiques were perceived as being confident and successful. So as a general rule, women tend to be attracted to guys who work out and keep in shape.

I've been binge watching Californication, and I swear that David Duchovny is the fattest person I've seen with a six pack. At some angles, he's overweight. At other angles, he's rocking a sweet six pack. At the minimum, his body is easily attainable.

The ideal body that I'd like would be Charlie Hunnam in Pacific Rim. Some amount of muscle, very low amount of fat. Nutrition matters than most when it comes to getting a good body.

There isn't really a body type that has the most success since, in the long run, women are attracted to your behaviors. Unless you're exercising/eating well for your own personal benefit, this really isn't a question that's even worth considering. Not that it's a bad question, I just mean that you're better off focusing on other things.

You need to be muscular, but not too muscular. Being slim and well muscled is perfect, and so is being a little muscle-bound, so long as it looks natural and healthy.
