What are some social games I can play to boost my confidence?

Quick story:

First time I played the alpha-eye-contact game, I chose an unassuming stranger walking towards me. (I consciously made sure that my facial expression was neutral).

He locked in on me. And kept locked in as the distance closed. I didn't break. He kept staring back until we passed.

I'm not sure which one of us was the weirdo.

Talk to any female, from the moment you stop talking to her you have 30 seconds to talk to the next female, keep doing this and you'll see your momentum escalate and your confidence skyrocket.

The minimum is 10 and then after that try beating your own personal records.

Graduate from "hi" to conversations. That is the point of that exercise.

Sometimes when I go to the store I have this exercise I like to do. Pretend I need eggs. I walk around until I see someone who has eggs in their cart, then I ask them if I can just have theirs because I cant find the eggs. Girls think it is funny. Mostly me and my friends use it as an opener for the ladies, but still a fun exercise to do.

You can start off by telling random people nice things (compliment them). "Hey nice shoes" they will feel better and maybe it is even going to end in a conversation.

It should be a real compliment though.

Compliment girls is what I would add to that. Also ask functional questions (time cause phone is dead, how to get to this place, etc.).

But part of me wants to recommend you put the cart before the horse. And start doing a few direct approaches when the opportunity is there.

Because even with all the social games, and even though they'll help for sure... you're still going to be nervous showing and expressing genuine intent to a girl. You can't avoid it. You will have some anxiety, you will get rejected, it will check your ego.

So keep doing great techniques but don't wait until you feel phenomenal about asking a hot girl out to do so. Add real approaches to your list of things to do.

Instead of playing games to build confidence, you should consider actually socializing and build your confidence through skill and experience, rather than games.

I'm not saying that to be pedantic or condescending, but the thing is, if you're always approaching this is as "what game should I play?", then you might not be developing the core skill set needed to actually have that confidence, know what I mean?

I don't know if I am going to be down voted for suggesting this but I'll suggest it anyway. Why not try going up to girls and saying pick up lines just for a laugh? I found out when I was starting out with girls when I did this thing for fun then I could easily keep eye contact with attractive girls cause I just did not care, I was doing it for fun. It's a good exercise. It's really fun and I look back at some of them laughing. I have one I made up on the fly where I walk past a girl then fall. When I get back up I say " oh I'm sorry, I fell for you ". I like seeing the look on the girl's face. Don't use anything perverted.

This is a fun, albeit solitary game. Role play getting AMOG-ed and shit-tested in your head. Think of responses. Try to have some go-to responses to common instances of disrespect.

This at least helps me. I'm only really anxious when around people I expect to have confrontational encounters with (Chad Thundercocks, sorority girls). You will develop boundless confidence knowing that you can tool assholes and bitches in a socially-acceptable way.

Unless you are anxious due to being socially inept in general. If that's the case, read about socializing, practice mindfulness, and talk to people. Competence begets confidence.

How are you getting on with the eye contact and talking to everyone? I think that's a great place to start. Try to build on those. Maintain good eye contact and smile warmly when someone looks your way.

Instead of saying "Hi", say "Hey, how's it going?".. maybe that will develop into a conversation.

What you could do is throughout your day think about what might embarrass you right now. Embarrassing things you could do or say.. then do them! Holding in a fart? Let it rip! Pretend to trip up when walking somewhere. Fumble words on purpose.

What you'll find is people will have a laugh and the world will keep turning.

Start crazy simple, just talk to everyone. Use observation to start conversations, or ask questions. Start with staff paid to talk to you, work up to people on the street. You will quickly learn how to read social settings. A game can be won or lost, just talking is a net benefit as you learn each time.

Not necessarily a social game, but one helpful mentality shift to keep in mind if you're insecure is that in order to make a positive impression on someone, all you have to do is be more exciting than the situation that your new friend was previously in. If you're in a boring class together, or you work together, your work is basically done for you. Just say anything. If it's anything else, you just have to know the standard that you're working against.

The eye contact one is a good start, adding a smile when people hold your gaze is the next step.

Going from that to approaching and having conversations is next.

But if you want to go further, I got some. (coutesy of Liam McRae from TNL)

Each of these challenges you do with 25 different girls (or guys...but it might get weird)

Shake someone's hand and hold it for far too long, while maintaining eye contact. See if you can handle the pressure
Put your hand on a girl's lower back and leave it there. See how long it takes before she gets weird about it
Put your hand on a girl's leg. Same thing.
Try to kiss 25 girls within 10 seconds of talking to them.
Ask 25 girls to come home with you.

Note - I haven't done most of this myself, except for the first one. I already went on a date with a girl that way. So yeah, have fun with it.

High, five game. If your a nerd, dress up as your favorite comic book character and go to class like that all day.

This works really well for character that have a full face mask.

I do this as Deadpool, plus when you act like Deadpool it really puts you in the minds set of IDGAF!

plus you stay sober and just crackwise to everyone.
