I was contacted yesterday by a cute, 34 year old childless woman on a dating site.

I got her number, gave her a call and set up a date. So far so good.

Then she asks me about children. (My status says "Not Sure") "So... Why are you not sure about kids?"

I tell her that I like kids... But... I don't want kids, just for the sake of having them and not just with anyone.

It all depends on the woman and the strength of our relationship. Maybe after we've gotten to know each other over a couple of years, we'll know if things like marriage and starting a family might be a good idea or not.

She got upset and started talking about how she was 34 already and really wants kids, etc... (Me, me, me)

I tell her that kids are great. I like kids. I just don't think it's something to rush into.

About that time she told me "This isn't going to work" and hung up on me.

I wasn't even mad. I was somewhat relieved. LOL!

Hey, at least she was honest about it. I feel like that is a good sign. She knows what she wants (kids) and isn't going to waste her time with someone who doesn't want that. Professor Mentu of the now defunct uman blog did this exact thing after getting his vasectomy. I can't find any links that work anymore, but his intention afterwards was to rawdog as many single 35+ year old women with full-blown baby rabies as he could, leading them on the whole time about how he wanted kids. That way, they would end up getting too old to successfully conceive without massive amounts of medical aid, and therefore couldn't just get knocked up and snare some poor beta schlub for 18 years.

Mentu was really big on career sluts getting their just desserts. He wouldn't go after women in their early 20s who were earnest about getting married and starting families while they were young.

I'm 40. Once you're past 30, I would say even 28 or 29 dating becomes a man's game. Most women will want to marry you right out of the gate, especially if you've taken care of yourself and didn't drink your life away. Age really begins to show by your late twenties. People start getting fat, very wrinkled and just settle into complacency. Stay active, go to the gym, read constantly and your like will be much better.

I've visited a few foreign countries: Mexico, Iraq, Australia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Honestly, I prefer the good ol' US of A. Sure, we have a lot of fucked up things going on, but I really believe America is the best place to live in. My parents came here as immigrants, and I have been to their country of origin. Despite all our set backs, there is nowhere I'd rather be.

Iceland/Norway have the highest standard of living in the world. The USA has too many poor people who cannot enjoy much of what the country has to offer. Federal minimum wage is a joke too. Not everyone can have a profession, how a country treats its poor says a lot about that country.

Read the damn article, it's on point about how women view short men like men view fat women. It's a huge handicap that takes a lot to overcome.
