After two texts go unanswered, I get a very good success rate from following these steps:

  • item 1 Call - A voice conversation is the best way to remind her of the good feelings you had in person. If she doesn't pick up, leave a nonchalant message to call you back. If she doesn't, proceed further.

  • item 2 Switch texting medium - Go from text to Whatsapp for example so you can start with a clean slate without the bad unanswered precedents in full view for her to see (your cool picture on Whatsapp will also help).

  • item 3 Send an out-out - Say you made your moves but you can't keep chasing, so this is the last time you contact her. If she's not completely against the idea of meeting, it’s her turn now (put smiley to highlight you're not butthurt but genuinely giving her a last chance).

  • item 4 Withdraw dramatically - You left town. We want what we can’t have and if she liked you, you will go from "guy chasing her she might one day give a chance to", to "missed opportunity". Some major turnarounds can happen here. Edit: Very useful for travelers. I use this when I left and know I'll be back. I found it contributed majorly to meet those women when I went back.

  • item 5 Offer something - When she doesn't reply you’re the asker who needs something. You can break that pattern and flip the scripts by giving something instead (example: I invited a violin player who wasn't answering to a composer's party and she called me back within an hour). Edit: this is definitely higher effort, only for special occasions but I did have some good results adding value to some women's life

  • item 6 Ping message after months - Say you were deleting numbers or you thought you saw her but wasn't sure. Is she still in town? It might not have the highest hit rate, but once you copy-paste it to all your old unresponsive contacts something good can easily come out of it.
