Just got a number for a girl I hooked up with 10 days ago (2nd base only) in my social group. We texted:

Me: "Hey, come go-karting at 9 today"

Her: "Hi, and who are you, might I ask?"

Me: "I guess you will have to come and find out"

Her: "Unless you have a wrong number, go-karting where?"

Me: (i sent her the address)

Her: "That's pretty far considering I don't know who is asking me ;)"

Me: "It is. So 8:45 at (bus stop name)"

Her: "Well if I don't at least have a hunch who you are or where do I know you from, you will be waiting there for a long time"

Me: "From (our social group), sherlock. My number is in the directory."

Her: "I am not at the Internet to confirm that, otherwise I would already confirm my tip. But don't worry, I will find you. However, I already have something today. Next time ;)"

Me: "Then cancel it. Go-karting is awesome"

At first it seemed she was on the hook, asking where that is, but then flaked. What did I do wrong?

Update: Her: "It sure is, lieutenant SeekingTheWay, but Ive already promised my presence elsewhere. Next time;) And I was right with my tip. Thanks for your number (whereever you got mine) ;)"

Now this is a reference to a role I played in a game I set for that socgroup so I played along:

Me: "A good agent has his sources"

Her: "Of course, should've thought of that. Have a nice evening and next time ;)"
