Don't just be attached to results. You can screen and ask: "Are you madly in love with anyone right now?". But don't be attached to the outcome. Even if she does you can still enjoy the convo and boost your state. Success is not about results, it's about setting landmarks:

Also make sure you are not being too friendly, if you are being alpha they will state they have a boyfriend within the first 5min of the interaction 90% of the time.

There are so many ways to work this question in. When she mentions an activity, you can ask "was it fun w your boyfriend?" when she mentions spending a lot of time at work, say "I bet your boyfriend misses you." you get the idea?

if she's into you and single, you better believe she's gonna deny the existence of that boyfriend that you mentioned.

Dude, you had a nice conversation with a girl who, by the sound of it, enjoyed chatting to you. Be happy with that, any time you meet a new person and hit it off, that's a fucking success.

Then you made it weird by 1) being obsessed with her relationship status and 2) reducing her to something you can date or something to not be interested in.

The girl isn't the problem, you are.

Even if you wanted to be totally mercenary about this (which is wrong, but seems to be the way you're going) then think of it as great practice for meeting new girls, a good chance to hone your conversation skills and, hey, maybe if you hadn't turned into a weird arsehole at the end, she might have thought you'd be a good match for one of her single friends.

Because friends do that for friends. Which you won't know if you keep doing this.

So maybe don't approach every woman as if they're a fucking Turing Test to see if they're single in the quickest time possible, yeah?
