Throwaway account, but I'm a frequent poster on /r/TheRedPill, hear me out guys:

TRP helped me get laid a lot in a short amount of time (ever since I started it 2 years ago). I'm young; I've had about 6 partners and a girlfriend here or there, my life was going great until I slept with this girl about 2 months back. I knew her for a while, she was a friend of a friend of a friend. I always use a condom when going in, but we were kissing, she gave me oral and I went down on her... all was well. Until 2 hours later I felt tingling in my mouth. Wtf?

I ask her if she had any STD's, I didn't even skirt around the issue but flat out asked her to her face. She pulls out a recent exam clearing her of AIDS/HIV, and a myriad of other STI's however the exam DID NOT CHECK FOR HERPES (a lot don't unless it's a comprehensive exam, wtf world.. is this why this shit is out there?).

Facepalm

I work in medicine and my symptoms after a few days/weeks only confirmed my suspicions. I went and got checked out and the doc confirmed it through test results. No outbreaks thus far. Herpes can be passed just through kissing, which is what I suspect the transmission was, but there's no point in trying to pinpoint it now because I already have it.

I feel shammed because I was always the guy who harped on "safe sex", and I love giving girls head as well as receiving it. I'm currently in monk mode, I reserve 30 minutes a day to TRP and then I go to the gym/run/work/etc. I just wanted to say that my life has changed since I have this disease. I'm going to have to ten-fold my SMV, otherwise how do I casually sex up girls? Once I utter the words "Herpes" they'll run for the hills. And I'll never be slimy enough to engage in sexual activities without mentioning my virus. I take my health seriously (workout/nutrition) and I work as a healthcare provider, I would never wish to harm another human being maliciously.

I made this post to get insight because I'm lost, confused, and slightly depressed. I'm taking some alone time to read my inner self and get over my new Achilles heel. It's almost as though a moving train just whacked my life in the nuts.

My question is does anyone have any STD's or know of somebody with it, has it affected your game? Do you think it'll significantly affect my pull rate? When do you think I should tell girls I have this virus? I posted this here because I really want advice from TRP followers and not pussies who will utter: "oh my god, I'm sooo sorry.", etc and all that noise which won't help.

If you don't want to post here feel free to send me a private message and we can chat. I just felt like an open discussion would help anyone else who's too shy to talk about this type of stuff.

tldr: be safe out there boys, it can happen to you. When I studied for my "infectious diseases" course, Herpes was simply a term in a textbook I had to memorize for some obscure exam - now it's real life.
