I'm here in the UK for a month and I've been gaming, and i'm finding it very different compared to back home in Austin.

People don't seem to be used to being approached - Even in a damn BAR I sense much more 'unease'. I'm not used to struggling to 'hook' this much. Typically back home, as long as my vibe isn't awful, I can open with anything and the girls will at least tend to talk back and ask me questions and then very soon the whole conversation feels fun and light and I know I've hooked.

I guess I need to get much better at 'ploughing' if i'm to game here?

I mean, I have read before that you shouldn't need to 'plough' because if she's not talking back she's not interested and you need to go fund someone who is, but so far I feel like that will just guarantee I don't get laid whilst i'm here!

I've been opening with an observational opener - asking them about their drink or making a comment on their clothes or their group or the venue or something. Then asking if they live here and telling them i'm from the US and why i'm here. Back home, even that would be enough to 'bait' people into asking me things, but the UK girls are looking at me like ''why are you talking to us?!!'' and don't really talk. I ask them bits about themselves, but it's very hard to actually get a 2-way conversation happening as they kepe their replies short, and really ramp up the social pressure as I can kind of sense that they feel awkward - I feel like an alien here and had no idea things would feel so different in terms of social dynamics
