Hey guys I was wondering on whether to open an instagram account and get a bunch of followers in order to get girls.

Let's back up a bit.

What is "Seduction?" It's a kind of social interaction between two people. Social media is a means of communication, one that's useful to help set up meets with girls. Nothing about any of this requires you to open an IG account.

In fact, getting into the whole game of trying to keep up the appearance of having a life that looks good on IG encourages mindsets that are unhelpful. Namely, you're feeding insecurity and feelings of inadequacy.

And it's all unnecessary; there is no Instagram barrier to getting laid or starting a relationship. This is one situation where I actually favor the "mysterious" approach. If you're presenting yourself well, girls will come to you whether you have IG or not. And the fact that you can't be cyber-stalked, will actually make you more intriguing. Like, people have no choice but to come to the source, to learn about you.

I don't have any social media and only game girls in person. Alot of girls my age all have instagram and I get the "do you have a facebook or Instagram" question.

Well, FB is another thing; that's pretty much the modern-day equivalent of "do you have a phone number."

Phone numbers feel even more secure and it's not uncommon for people to have little to no memory of any phone numbers, beyond maybe their own, because people have gotten used to pressing a contact's name or telling their phone to call whoever.

Having a FB account is just prudent. It is less threatening to ask for and offers texting, phone call, and video call options, same as a normal phone number.

As for the idea of social proof, what you need as a minimum, is confidence in yourself, as cheesy as that sounds. You could have the most awesome looking pics on whatever social media account you want, but if you can't stand on your own two feet in front of the girl, you're done.

Can having a strong instagram profile with a lot of followers allow you to seem more "socially valuable" and therefore have girls become more responsive.

It might matter to some girls who are overly concerned with "status." But once you start screening for those kinds of girls, it's probably more trouble than it's worth. There's a reason that these girls don't have favorable songs written about them. There's a lot of fakery in those kinds of people who are constantly concerned with how things look, more than how things actually are.

If you don't mind being in a non-stop hassle to compete for attention from girls with short attention spans who are constantly looking for a better option to trade up for, then go for it. Some really competitive guys might actually like this option and I don't begrudge them at all.

But unless you're that kind of guy, I wouldn't bother.

PS. I love traveling and fitness and I think these are definitely cool topics to focus on when trying to build social value on instagram.

You're far better off just traveling and meeting people at couchsurfer meets, or joining various social groups centered around fitness, like hash runs.

People actually doing those things, rather than people looking to promote their image.

It really depends on what you want: style or substance?

Social proof is not a thing i would worry about and IG does not "proof" anything. I noticed that people who don't have accounts come across grumpy and say stuff like "i don't do the social media thing", it makes you seem like an old fogey. But, its not attracting women who are not already attracted. If you have no issue getting numbers, focus on being more interesting....not your IG.

Now, if you want to use IG to gain women from the app....by all means. I use IG as an easy way to connect with women i might not normally get to interact with. I also use it sometimes instead of asking for a number. Its actually easier on the spot to give her my phone and have her enter her IG.

The dues and mainly don’ts of online attraction

 It’s not about the number of followers or people in your pictures. In fact, if you have a ridiculously high number of followers, you come across as over social, or disloyal. Try to avoid the stereotypically “attractive” pictures, ie. shirtless selfies, to many filters, overly suggestive poses etc. this can come across like you are trying to hard or desperate. Be honest with your interests, if you like videogames but you don’t like sports, don’t post pictures of you doing athletic things because you think it looks cool. For arguments sake, if I am looking for someone who likes gaming and has and overall shy or a nerdy personality, I would see that kind of Instagram and think that you definitely weren’t my type. Don’t change your interest just because you think others won’t like them. There’s nothing more attractive than someone who has real interests and is willing to talk about them. Use different types of pictures to express yourself. Don’t stick to being professional, but also show a little bit of seriousness. Post a picture of you getting ready for work/school, or a joke about cleaning the house. Follow it up with a post about A game you played, a good conversation with a friend, something outside that makes you laugh, etc. it also shows character if you can make playful jokes and references. If you decide to make or use an Instagram account, have a simple profile picture that expresses a little bit of your personality. Maybe get a picture of you in your favorite shirt, or an artsy picture of you near an interesting landmark. Also, write a bio. A quote from your favorite idol, a list of your hobbies, a few song lyrics, a favorite memory, or a playful joke can all serve to be good Conversation starters. There are plenty of girls in the world who would love to talk to gamers, shy people, or just anyone with similar interests to them. If you are trying to form a real romantic relationship, I would strongly advise against posting pictures with lots of other women. It can come across flirtatious, and you want to keep them interested. If they think you’re already taken, there’s no point of them staying. If you’re using social media in hopes of getting laid, it doesn’t matter what you post, or who you take pictures with, if they want you they’ll tell you. Also you might have better luck with that on tinder or snapchat. You don’t want everyone, not everyone wants you. You will find someone, but if you try to hard to make yourself seem appealing then you risk changing yourself online. What happens when someone else expresses interest in you, but they have nothing in common with you. Be confident, but remember that you’re just a human being like everybody else. There is no way to completely capture everyone’s attention. If you really want to get a female’s attention online, just be yourself with no fabrications. After all, what is more attractive than a good person, with an interesting personality and good looks.

Just gonna add to what others are saying. Post pictures of you being social, doing fun/ adventurous activities, etc. If girls only have your Instagram as a way of seeing who you are then you need to show a representation of a worthy guy. Another note is that Instagram isn’t your “primary” way of getting girls, that will always never talking to them in person as you said you normally do. Instagram to girls is simply a way of seeing if you’re really as interesting as the person they met. Cheers bud and good luck!

Girls know how to respond to a date/number request and if she suggests instagram/facebook then it's usually as she's just trying to monitor what value of a guy she got interested in her. She's not shagging beta orbiters on instagram or facebook. She's shagging the guy she wants to shag, and if that guy asks for a number she will give it to him.

The one caveat is with a girl who doesn't have a functioning number (ex. tourist girl) or a girl with a husband/boyfriend who keeps an eye on her phone. However, these are exceptions and not the rule.

Literally Just did a good approach that ended in an instagram connect.

I approached cold at coffee shop after half way making eye contact attempts, she was a little shy.

She hesitated and said "i don't know" to the number close. I retreated and flanked with "I understand, phone numbers are a little too personal for some people, how about we connect on Instagram so you can internet stalk me." She agreed.

Lessons Learned

IG can be a place for people to know more about you in a less personal way, but...it didn't make her attracted to me. It allowed me to close without coming off as a beggar, if a number close was my only option.....i would have had to just double down. I am confident in my game to date close from IG.....i have one this weekend.

Eye contact can mean so many different things. It can mean shes shy if she avoids you....it could mean she thinks your hot. Don't put any stock in eye contact.

I was enthralled by this girl for a few moments. Literally after i got her contact, a girl sat down next to her that was actually hotter. So, never get lazer focus.....always better options when your mind is open. Don't use it as a cop out not to approach, but when you get shot down....keep that in mind. The new girl was so hot, i caught the girl i approached eyeing her up and down.

I believe in building a foundation seperated from blogging like that. Its time consuming, id rather play guitar and focus on some of that.

It depends on your style, for me i just get confused in the virtual surrogate world, i easily get hooked too porn when bored or lonely, it has pros and cons. In my case just doing physical realworl approach is emotionally satisfying.

Actually I think that’s the thing of the past now of showing u with pictures of girls... well girls you game.. you need to focus on friends and if your friends are girls then great.. probably there’s nothing worst than a guy showing pic of him with a girl and it just show that ur doing it for attention.. basically just have a mix of everything you value so you attract girls that best suites your personality rather than some fake pic that your gaming on a night out.. you will come off as a player... which is not something to show off...

Absolutely it is. I have an instagram that's almost empty because i'm not active on social media and i can actively feel the negative impact it has when meeting new women. You can actually tell in their face the moment of dissapointment they have when they see you don't have social proof online.

I've also tried to deny access to my instagram account, deflecting the attempts to get it and I STILL get shit for it. "I'm just a weird person like that I like to stalk people you know haha come on give it to me" (code for: this is going well but I need to know more about you to make sure you are a cool person).

You DEFINITELY would see a positive impact on having an instagram full of stuff. Strongly recommend working on getting a profile with some content in it.

More often people ask how to develop an account in order to earn more money. Everyone has already forgotten the importance of simple human attention :)

As far as I know, now you can find girls with the help of Tinder. But if you want to create a "social value" for yourself in the Instagram, this is a good idea too.

(You can start developing an account for this purpose, and in the future use for something else)

In the Instagram you can publish photos from your travels and from the gym, but also write posts. In the text you can tell more about yourself, about your inner world, to show yourself as a good and intelligent guy. It can work.

I do not think that you need to use advertising in the instagram. To begin with, it's easy to connect an automation system (someone calls it a "bot"). This will help you at the start to gather more audience.

For such purposes I use the InstaDao system. You can find them on the Internet.

This will save your money on advertising, but it will help your account grow faster. Especially in the beginning.

Definitely yes. You want to get as many pictures of you and chicks posted. Girls will find that, see you with other girls, and you will be in-demand. This is what another poster was talking about pre-selection. Girls seeing you with girls (in person or on social) is definitely what you want. It may take a little bit of effort to get it started, but it's well worth it.
