Went to EDM Concert with GF. Her guy friends try to flirt. Need perspective, and I overreacting?

Bro, It's almost like you were the third wheel. Following your girl, following another dude. First you need to take more control. I know it may be hard, but try to lead more and take initiative. I would not worry too much about the hand holding, but texting your girl ain't cool. I would tell him to stop doing that.

Firstly, this isn't very seduction related, but whatever. Secondly, ecstasy definitely does make people more open and more likely to engage in physical contact so massages, headrubs, hugging, handholding etc. is pretty common among friends whilst "rolling" on ecstasy and is widespread and seen more as a PLUR (peace, love, unity and respect) thing in the EDM community. Thirdly, the handholding to lead through venues is very common at EDM concerts and really any venue that is crowded, as their is a high chance of you getting separated from the other person if you are not physically connected, and you need to be looking forward and actively cutting your way through the crowd and can't be stopping to look back every 2 seconds to make sure the person is still with you, so you just take their hand and lead. Lastly, I don't know the dynamic between your girl and this guy and his friends but it seems you may be overreacting a bit. Would I trust my gf at a 3 day EDM festival with a bunch of guy friends rolling, probably not, then again I would probably go with them and not have to worry about it XD

Regardless of what we say a relationship is your own personal ideas and opinions on what it should be about. Yes, you can be an irrational psycho who thinks that your girlfriend should sit at home and make food for you. but make sure that's communicated clearly and honestly without weird passive aggressive insecure actions or violence.

so if something makes you uncomfortable it's in your right. it's not our relationship, you tell your partner and tell them you don't like it. maybe you guys hashing it out can give you perspective or let you two understand each other (it could be innocent and she doesn't realize your problems with this).

do not take advice on here besides: communicate with your partner about how you feel.

Sorry about the wall of text, but I basically have three different comments:

1) I'm not a huge fan of going to clubs or concerts with a girl unless you're REALLY on solid ground. Clubs just breed all kinds of drama. I go to concerts all the time with my wife, but the reason that I enjoy it is because I know her like the back of my hand. If I was dating someone new, there's no way I'd go to a club with her. It's just playing with fire, there's always drama in the club.

2) When you're hanging out with friends and they're drunk or high, it can be really awkward if you're not. They're basically having a different experience than you are. So it's easy for you and her to interpret things differently.

3) That dude is a complete and total dick. He is trouble. If my wife said "my friend Bob invited me to a show", I would assume that Bob is trying to fuck her. And we're in an open relationship, so fucking her may be a possibility, but it's something we have to discuss first. Your GF's friend is definitely trying to bone her.

You should bring this up to your girlfriend and how it makes you feel. Don't think of it as, "Should I let her go to Vegas?" Think of it as communicating your boundaries. You have things you are comfortable with and things you are not. Tell her your boundaries and communicate that these boundaries are rock solid.

Also, don't buy into this excuse, "Oh I was fucked up on E so I didn't know that he was kissing/touching/entering me". That is a BS excuse.

Talk to her. Tell her your not familiar with the scene, how people act and what made you uncomfortable. Gauge her response. Despite what some of this trash advice is telling you, you don't own her and won't be able to control her. You really want a relationship where you're stressing everything she's doing? Be honest and chat her up about it.

touchy, take hand, passage: ecstasy. It should not go further, people have respect for the others and won't take your gf, they are just genuily very empathic
take hand in a festival: it's very easy to get lost in the crowd, and while high it can be scary, so you take hand when you move. Secondly it forms like a chain so people won't cut you while you go through them.

Nevertheless, the text of this guy is: NO, you should discuss it with your gf. Except if all the group is good friend with your gf, i wouldn't let her go, especially if she takes ecstasy.

Ecstasy makes me 500% more horny. I guess you could pin it on the drugs but hand-holding is like standard for raves when 'travelling' through the venue. You gotta stay together to get through.
