I think different styles work for different people depending on a number of factors (location, looks, age, etc etc)

Personally, i'm not a fan of his game tbh. I think it's massively over-complicated and robotic (and cringey in parts) with lots of theory and rules that others seem to break with great success.

His 'numbers' aren't very impressive either, especially considering he's a very tall, decent looking guy who had social value in the environments he was gaming. He'd have done just as well (better?) by telling girls they were hot and asking if they wanted to come home with him

Basically everyone confuses existing attraction with 'game' - People (you, me, 'PUA's') are really just banging girls who think they are handsome or whatever. Nobody can 'CONVERT' a girl. You're either her type or you aren't. If you are, game can certainly help seal the deal or at least ensure you don't mess it up. If you aren't her type, no game will help

Models and Mystery Method are opposites.

Mystery Method is performance based while Models is anti-performance.

What I mean is this:

Mystery Method goes by Step 1 then Step 2 while Models says forget about that. In Models, that's false confidence.

If you go back to the story of Daniel and Stacy, Daniel came from a dry spell so he decided to read pick up books and practice them at bars. But once he met Stacy those methods went away and he became his old awkward needy self again. Which in the end ruined the relationship.

In Models: to be truly confident is not putting women on a pedestal. If she rejects you finde so be it. To focus on your own values, opinions and beliefs.

Haven't read the whole thing. I'm sure there is some value in it but I strongly recommend reading and learning from a variety of resources and not depending on just one guy's formula.

You may find that another PUA teacher's vibe is more like your own vibe, or he has the vibe that you want to have.

Look at Mystery on youtube and ask yourself, is this what I want to look and sound like? Am I like him so much that I need to do his style of game?

Interestingly, Mystery's long time coaching partner Beckster has said that although he teaches and uses Mystery style routines, his game is something like 90% natural (just chatting up women with no prescribed routines or script).

(Disclaimer: I do not have good game myself) I read the book and I'm not convinced that it ever worked as described. A large amount of the book is focused on explaining the attraction phase, which Mystery defines as is the first phase of the seduction process that usually lasts for 30 minutes or less when you first meet a woman. He breaks that phase down into 3 steps, of which the second step (A2) is the one where you demonstrate value, disqualify yourself as a potential suitor, and thus get the target to find you attractive. The structure actually kind of makes sense, but I'm not convinced that the outcome of "A2" is under your control or that it's an active process within the interaction. From every interaction I've watched and experienced first hand, the girl pretty much decides within less than a minute if she's into the guy or not. I've never seen an example of a guy making progress with someone who wasn't interested in him upon opening by using dhv stories and teasing or negging.

There is still some useful information in the book, such as the lists of IOIs/IODs, stuff about preselection (which contrary to active dhv storytelling I HAVE seen working in real life many times), and the stuff about how to "reward" or "punish" behavior in your interaction with someone to steer it in a certain direction.

The Game by Neil Strauss is definitely not outdated, it’s a brilliant foundation for you to work. If anything, I would recommend looking at Ross Jefferies work (Speed Seduction) it’s brilliant and should be enough for you to build on.
