I am quite familiar with where you are physically (Boulder) and emotionally/spiritually/confidence etc. I had a really hard time in college due to anxiety. To be honest, it really affected my experience. I got so nervous about what other people would think that I spent a lot of time alone so as not to have to worry about it at all. As a fellow Buff, if frats/parties aren't your thing (they weren't mine a whole lot), then use what Boulder has to offer: join a hiking club, play intramural sports, find out when people carpool up to the mountains to ski. Looks like CU's basketball team may be ok, find people who want to go to the games. I made a few friends who liked watching the Avalanche together just by stopping people who had Avs shirts on. People at CU are active...join clubs that do those things and from there you will start meeting people organically. Join a coed kickball team: gives you the opportunity to make friends, meet girls and spend time with them week after week.

Also, do these two things and you will meet hot girls - 1: start doing yoga consistently at the same gym or studio every week at the same time. Get to know faces and meet girls. 2: take dance classes. Again, you'll meet girls and you'll get good at dancing which will help you for decades to come. Both these activities have hot girls and the ratio of girls to guys is like 10 to 1. If I could go back to my 20 year old self, I would hold a gun to my head and make me do these two things. It's good for you, fun, you learn new things and there are loads of hot girls.

Join a party frat for your last year. You WILL get out of your shell, you WILL party, and you’ll most likely get laid if you’re even passably attractive.

There are other options, but the frat is the easiest and surest way to do it quick.

Hey man I was in the same boat til this year. My advice for you is to have a simple weekly goal: 1 date a week. This is working for me. That’s all. That date can be anything. But you need to go on 1 date a week.

I’d recommend doing 3 things to get that 1 date a week. First is to use tinder. You said you’re in good shape so just try to get some nice pictures or just use ones you already have. And swipe whenever you’re free during the day.

The second thing is to try to go out once a week. Don’t worry if you’re alone. Just go to a club, a bar, an event. Join some clubs so this becomes easier.

Last thing is to just make conversations with people daily. Cute girl sitting next to in class? “Hey how’d you on the last test”, stuff like that.

Remember bro, 1 date a week, doesn’t matter how cute the girl is or how the date goes. For now, 1 date a week.

Can I suggest meeting people in groups, ostensibly built on study or a common interest of some sort (environmental, movies etc) - forming connections which you can maintain through messaging, until you get past the point of feeling anxious.
