“Every man should have a job”… even disabled men who physically can’t work? Even men who are well past retirement age?

Plus it’s not as easy as “if you want a job get one”… there’s still a rigorous hiring process so even if a man applies for every job he’s eligible for there’s no guarantee he’ll land them. My partner has been job searching for a year now and isn’t having any luck at all- he’s not hearing back from anywhere he’s applied to. He’s also autistic (as am I) and the system is very much rigged against us- we’re expected to mask in traditional interview settings- I luckily got around that by finding a form of self employment that worked for me, but he hasn’t had that privilege… he’s also dyspraxic with coordination issues so anything too physically demanding is out of the question. It doesn’t make him “weak”, it just makes him different- certain physical things are more difficult for him than they are for me. Unemployed ≠ lazy.

Now that Reddit is a publicly traded company, something really needs to be made of their refusal to deal with hate speech like this. I have reported that post for the obvious hate speech that it is, to give them a chance to do the right thing. If they won't, then I think it's time for a public awareness and media campaign.

It’s sick. My grandfather didn’t work anymore in his later years but he wasn’t a lazy man. He was one of the best I’ve ever known. He got cancer and died when I was 13 (I’m in my 30s now). People like the one who wrote that post are being fools.

I hope Reddit bans that entire sub. Looks to me a misandrist, transphobic TERF-Haven, ageist, kink-shaming sub for the lowest of low of women. One of their top post was criticizing men for… loving their daughters? They call us incel lowlifes even though they are the absolute bottom of the barrel. They wonder why men suck, maybe if we stop focusing on creating some gender divide everyone would be equal.
