Its not uncommon to constantly see women say that the bar is in the ground and they don't want much but be taken care of but, Seldom do they want to take care of their boyfriends. (I say boyfriends here because in wlw relationships women do in fact take care of each other. It is portrayed as the "Duty of the man" Isn't that sexist) We literally see women irl and in social media constantly saying things like "He takes care of me, i feel like a little girl" "I don't need to think when I am with my boyfriend" "He buys me gifts i love him soo much." You never see them say thins like "i wanna protect him" or "i want to give him a good date" but the top higher echelons of men will often describe being desired and chased. Does this mean women are only with their (as women say regular dudes with girlfriends) boyfriends for what they can get from him or how he makes her feel? I have seldom seen selflessness in women for their partners. Are women not truly not attracted to their partners and their reciprocation is them 'being' with him
We see men describe the girl they love as perfect and how they would give her the world. Men constantly describe wanting to take care of her and make her feel like a little girl again where she is free from her responsibilities or stress, and many would argue it as masculine and feminine dynamics but is masculinity and femininity taking care of and being taken cared of? is femininity just being a child who is taken care of in everyway? Most men are socialized or raised to glorify taking care of someone as a part of their love language by their own mothers and blue pill. I am not red pill of any kind but why is there no mention of making men feel safe and cared for too? why is it always men who have to take on the role of taking care of their partner and why not for once they can relax and be carefree while their girlfriends do things. My gay friends have mentioned that in male male relationships the pressure to perform or be the 'Man' is less and you both can switch roles. lesbians do that too why is it always the straight couple where the men have to be vigilant and take care of her needs all the time.
Wasn't feminism about breaking harmful gender roles? why not break these expectations on men too? Is it only egalitarian till it's time to take responsibility?
I saw a comment about this topic where a girl said she takes care of her boyfriend's emotional needs by 'listening to him talk' 'having sex with him' ?????? aren't those bare minimums, isn't sex supposed to be a two person activity? if she doesn't want it then what's the purpose of it? Why are men belittled and called effeminate for desiring their girlfriends take care of them for once? why do women hate actually taking responsibility and reciprocate once a while.
NOW the ladies here will call me gay and feminine for saying this. I have long checked out of dating and I never intend to date but I am curious on what the men and women have to say about this. That's all.
