I'm a man who has always looked very feminine; long hair, no beard, feminine features. For as much as these people like to preach about how accepting they are, I've spent most of my life being spat on just the same by feminists for not being manly enough, just as men and anybody "toxically masculine" would do to me.

And look at what they're doing to our media: movies, TV shows, and video games with any feminist interference now solely feature masculine women and masculine men—no feminine men or women anywhere to be found. They're the ones who preach how much they like soft boys and feminine men way more than macho men, yet they turn around and treat me and all femboys like an ugly creature and will not allow any of the men OR women they create in media to look even the slightest bit woman-like; it's ugly and pitiful to them.

Again: they have no respect for femininity.

She's just projecting her definition of an ideal man. Tough, protective, perhaps a bit aggressive, willing to die for her, etc. Her post looks like a sweeping generalisation about men, but what's happening really is when she's saying "men" she's talking about the kind of men she would actually call "men", i.e. the type of men she would fuck.

Because we all know that there are plenty of men out there that are not at all fighters and don't have this "adrenalin rush fight to the death" kind of response she talks about, but then again those types of men are invisible to her.

I hate all this gender war- we’re on the same team.

Being a woman is a beautiful privilege- I wouldn’t swap it for the world. Yes, we do have certain disadvantages that disproportionately affect our gender, but so do men. I’m proud to be a woman irrespective of those issues. Just as I think it’s OK for men to be proud of being men, irrespective of the issues that face their gender. It’s only when you expect your gender to conform to stereotypes about masculinity/femininity which is when being proud of your gender becomes a problem. Both of the sexes face a lot of shit but in different ways.

And the biggest difference is that women’s issues get talked about, men’s issues don’t, outside of very niche circles and online groups, some of which have had violent misogynistic tendencies which has led people to believe that male advocacy as a whole is like that. I do think the ones that spew such hateful rhetoric and turn to the likes of Tate do so because they feel alienated by the fact that men’s issues are so minimised/undiscussed, and therefore they end up turning to dangerous guys like him, which then sucks them into a rabbit hole and drifts them into a very right wing direction.

I would hope that this space is not seen as a misogynistic one- we do whatever we can to ensure this space is as egalitarian as possible; to make sure that neither men nor women feel alienated. Sometimes controversial beliefs through the cracks but at its core this sub is a sub where we can expose the very real, often minimised and overlooked, issue of misandry.

Women on that sub have absolutely no idea how men think and will base their opinions on how the worst of us behave. They'll also cherry pick and sometimes misinterpret what certain toxic men say online. (Things aren't black and white after all.)

TBH I feel sorry for some of them because the men around them are apparently toxic but that doesn't excuse making generalizations about all men like that. You'll also find a lot of factually wrong statements on there that the others don't correct. A quick look into a few accounts of sub members give me the impression that they're often younger women (or girls even) that live in or come from very conservative/patriarchal societies. So you can't really blame them for thinking like that. Quite likely that sub is the only place where they can vent. Obviously this doesn't make the shit they say true but I feel like I can understand why they do it a bit better. It's not like when some upper middle class white woman from a Western country does it because she suspects a man she finds unattractive may or may not have taken a peek at her butt.
