I got called a simp, but I don't think my action was what people may call simping. Curious if there is an a common idea on what it is in this crowd.

A mildly boring story is the background to me wondering this question.

I don't know much about the red/blue pill and alpha stuff and yesterday I heard a political argument between two groups while on the light rail to the airport and they asked my opinion about which made the better argument. I said neither group has a compelling argument but the liberal group had better points. The liberal group was mostly females and a couple of the guys in the conservative group told me I was a simp. I asked them isn't a simp trying to get laid or a favor from the person they are after?

I never got this answer even after three of the guys followed me off the train to the airport, the whole experience was surreal.
