How to approach frats?

Pre-TRP, I had the chance to join the most alpha frat on my campus. I didn't swallow the pill until 5 years later. I very much regret joining one. Instead, I joined the one with gay guys, awkward guys, and gamers. Parties were terrible and it went down hill the entire time I was in it because they didn't have any standards for pledging. Meanwhile, the alpha frat was doing great.

Just do it man? I think you are thinking too much. Don't conform, but dress nice and seem proffesional, or something.

If a frat doesn't accept you for being asian then you don't want any part of them anyway. That's RP. Conforming is BP.

Dude the best frat parties at UCD used to be from an Asian frat called Theta Xi.

I mean epic parties with three houses backyard fences removed and pussy everywhere. Nothing about being Asian will stop you from living the life man...

Greek Alumni here - Assuming there is a formal rush, most fraternities put their best foot forward in an attempt to gather the largest pool to pick pledges from.

Personally, I'd look beyond the front each organization puts up. Look to see how the brothers interact with each other, are there girls or better yet other sororities hanging around their table, how much stress they put on academics (partying is fun, but remember why you're at university), and how well you click with the organization.

Joining a fraternity was one of the best things I did personally and professionally. A strong alumni organization is also a plus, because those alumni are often times established professionals with business leads and great advice.

You won't get a bid from people who don't like you (and you won't like them). Rush. Meet people. Find the one you like best.

Rush, meet guys you think you can be friends with. Dress nice, be your best self, don't fake it, we can see right through it.

The best fraternities are the ones with the best brotherhood. You're not going to get into one if you're just looking for social connections and girls. You need to want the brotherhood.

I can give you more insight if you say the school, or just the location and a better description.
