Last week my son forgot something at their house (they now live together). I emailed her (them, they share an email... red flags, yo) and didn't get a response all day but we needed his shoes before soccer practice so I drove him over there. We pulled in the driveway, he ran in the house, and by the time he ran out her AP was in home from work in his car waiting for us to get out of the driveway. We quickly backed out, I gave as polite of a wave as I can and we went to practice. About an hour later I get an extremely heated text that my son had left their front door open and that that was unacceptable and as the adult in the situation I need to check these things. I told her that I normally would have but her AP was home by the time we had left. Didn't get any response to that... I'm guessing that he didn't mention that when he told her that my son had left the door open.

Today, the same exact thing happened. We picked up his shoes (again) and I made him double check that the door was closed and locked. He's ten and quite capable of doing this. Of course two hours later I get a furious text that the door was unlocked and that we are no longer allowed to stop by their house when they aren't home...

Anyways, I'm guessing that he told her that again (I don't think he likes my son very much and likes getting ex-wife angry at him, and me). Oh, also, for what it's worth, he's a cop and has cameras all over that place.

Sorry, no question, just venting.
