Yes your friend sounds like he’s a moderately attractive guy who found a woman that he has some things in common with. I wouldn’t call that game, but dating in the traditional sense.

Game the ability to provide what makes women excited/ interested/ aroused, and ultimately interested in you romantically. This guy achieved that, but not through any skills we would call “game”, rather because he found someone he has some things in common with.

All this to say game makes a huge impact on your dating life regardless of your other traits, but it’s not the only thing.

I wouldn’t focus on your friend too much. Keep approaching and stay the course for your own development

If you are physically attractive enough, you can bypass game altogther. Hell, you don't even have to be attractive to bypass game, sometimes a girl just likes you and she strips all the games and practically gives herself to you.

This is called getting lucky, and it's called that for a reason. For most men, it doesn't happen often if ever. The more physically or socially attractive you are (status), the more this can happen, which is what happened to your 6'3 friend.

However, game is not having to get lucky and being able to peruade/seduce more women into sleeping or getting in a relationship with you. It is a high level of confidence, social awareness and charisma. Any man, no matter attractive or not, can utilise game to increase his catch rate.

"No Game Game" is a thing.

Whatever the reason, this girl was attracted and felt a connection to him.

Being attractive is only part of the Game. Albeit a key part, not just looks but vibe, personality, energy, etc.

Attraction however is like a mist, it comes and goes.

Where Game comes in is the ability to built this connection and be aware of it, know what you are doing and be able to carry this out repeatedly. Otherwise you just "Got Lucky".

So yeah, once you interact with women and unapologetically carve your path through life in an attractive manner. Congrats, you have passed the first level.

The second level is building that connection, so they want to see you again and again. If you have not passed the first level, you will just be friendzoned at best.

Then the third level is seduction, getting a woman who is attracted and comfortable around you to wanting to have sex.

Yes, you can just bounce around a venue "I thought you were so cute, I had to see if you were willing to fuck" and yeah you may get a few hooks that way. But where is the art and the style in that? You may as well just be honest "Wanna fuck", "Wanna fuck", "Wanna fuck".

Also, if you build a strong enough connection, she will want to come back for more.

So they are what I class as the 3 levels of Game. That said, that can all be done at the same time, it does not have to be a strictly linear process. You can create rapport, chuck in attraction and still drop sexual seeds.

Then in the background we have inner game.

This is your confidence, charisma, vibe, energy, etc.

Also its your beliefs. If you believe sex is shameful for instance, no matter how attractive you are, how much comfort you build, etc. Your gonna cockblock yourself with that negitive belief.

Also, beliefs on being attractive. If you believe 100% you are unattractive, then no shit, everyone will buy into that frame. The strongest frame always wins.

Game and Seduction are two different games

+ Game is fast seduction. Quick attention, charm, boldness.

Seduction by nature is patient. Vague. The longer you take, the more interest you show.

Both skills are valuable.

You need to know how and when to be affectionate & daring, and when to be passive and non-committal.

+ That dude got an edge with that mutual interest. It set the tone for the rest of their relationship. He took the slow route.

His game was his swift casual approach. Nothing too crazy, but just enough for him to get the ball rolling.

I actually hate the entire concept of “game”, because most guys use it as cope to not work on their looks or lifestyle or social skills. You can’t fake being an attractive guy. You can’t go out and pretend to be cool, while in the back of your mind you know that you live in a shitty apartment with a pile of dirty dishes and sheets you haven’t changed in months. And that the last time you got laid was with a hooker in Las Vegas, 5 years ago.

If you want to be successful, you need to take a holistic approach and fix your life, how you live your life and what you do with your time when nobody is looking. Anyone can dress nice and pretend like they have it together when in public, but if you go home and change into dirty underwear and play CoD until 2AM in the morning followed by a PornHub binge session before going to bed, no amount of “game” will save you. It will come across to women as you being a loser.

Fix your life. Fix your appearance. Whatever problems you have, fix them. Fucked up teeth? Get braces. Big nose? Get plastic surgery. Too fat? Get lipo. Stop being a lazy man who thinks going out and bothering 200 girls with an indirect opener will get you laid.
