I wouldn’t say no one calls it out - this won’t even make the news, if it did it would be unpopular with most people. This is chronic in Australia now. I have been shocked by numerous government grants, charities and scholarships that are only available for girls. In the aftermath of Covid, the NSW government even set up a special assistance program for female-owned businesses but not male, even though men were actually killed and hurt by covid more than women were. No-one ever says anything. They also have special female-only grants for superannuation, housing deposits and a shopping list of other things.
