There are a bunch of women outside of a club from your city - for nightgame... or outside of a mall in daygame. The beach is a weird place to approach- don't do that, maybe later but not start on the beach.

what should I focus on

Stay in the conversation as long as possible. If things go well, the girl will make it easier for you and you will naturally know what to do. If things don't go well, but you try to stay in the conversation, it will be good practice. It is a win either way.
