I think naturally the more self-esteem and confidence you get, the higher the threshold to actually find someone attractive. First you will only be looking at the prettiest women, then beauty is not enough and you also want them to have some depth, be fun to be with and so on.

It’s like if you have more money you will look at more expensive cars. It’s pretty natural.

I think it's very healthy attitude to seek for something meaningful and valuable. The thing is most guys that were not really into dating and seduction have little clue about their actual value, didn't care about developing their social skills and general attractive traits. If you have abundance of potential options, you will naturally dive deep in your dreams and amibitons. On the other hand, for some guys it is just about finding decent woman for a girlfriend or wife.
