15yo can decide. The GAL will support their decision unless there is grotesque abuse going on. Even then they might not overrule the 15yo’s decision. Adding a GAL will cost thousands of dollars for their retainer plus thousands more in your own attorneys’ fees bc the case will be extended for an “investigation”. DO NOT HIRE A GAL FOR A 15yo.

GALs are random and are just there to feed at the trough. Don’t think for a minute “best interest of the kids” takes precedent over “well in my opinion”.

Depends on your kid and the relationship you have with them. GAL is typically wildcard and waste of money. But if she is crazy then idk. Regardless of GAL by 16 kid will decide for themselves!

Be adults. GAL are generally a nightmare. The last thing you want is some “neutral third party” telling you what you can or can’t do
