Dear mods, I'm not a troll, please don't take this down

So not too long ago, I saw a post on subreddit-that-shall-not-be-named discussing how offensively men talk about women when said women are not around. OP said that they overheard a group of men making negative and vulgar comments about women while being husbands and fathers and churchgoers, because apparently husbands and fathers and churchgoers can’t talk shit whenever they feel like talking shit.

What makes feminist women think that they’re exempt from having shit talked about them? Who owes them respect? Some dude says “make me a sandwich bitch” and? And??? What happens? Nothing! Did you get beaten up? Did you get raped? No, at least not in that scenario. I think that they should try focusing on real issues that impact both women and men instead of focusing solely on themselves and their fragile feminist egos.

I don’t understand why it’s so bad for people to talk shit about each other, whether you’re a guy or a girl or a this or a that. Unless anything actually bad is happening, why does it matter that much to you? It’s illegal to rape and beat and kill people. It’s not illegal to be “offensive” because when it comes down to it, that doesn’t really hurt anybody, does it?

What do you guys think?

(Edited for paragraph spacing, sorry I'm a dumbass lol)
