In my previous post, I mentioned having doubts about a woman at the gym. Today, I was determined to talk to her, but fear got the best of me. I noticed a few glances from her, but my insecurity held me back. Then, about 5 steps away, I saw her on a machine. She seemed a bit unsure, looking around. I realized she needed help adjusting the machine. After about 3 to 5 minutes, she approached me and asked if I could help her. I helped her as kindly as possible, and then I took the chance to break the ice with a few questions. I asked her name, we shared some laughs, and then I went back to my routine.

For me, it was a big step, but I can't help feeling bad for not taking the initiative myself. This happens to me quite often, whether at university, in clubs, or even in restaurants. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can overcome this fear and be more proactive in these situations?
