There's a bar I frequent that's basically a night club, ages 21-35, but most people are 22-26. My typical night there looks like: There are distinct groups of men and women on the floor, but no one dances with eachother. I'll approach girls in a fun, low pressure way and they just totally shut me down every time. So I think "wow, that's some bad luck, let me just observe for a while and see how the dynamic works here".

After watching people for quite some time, I noticed basically no guys approaching girls. The few that did seem to try to shoot their shot just got immediately shut down like I did. The rejections give the vibe of "Omg, you're talking to me? That's so strange, what a creep!" Everyone there looks absolutely miserable; no smiles.

What the heck is going on here? Don't people want to have fun, dance with someone cute, and possibly find a partner? Does this venue just suck, or is this what clubs are like these days? What's a better spot to, specifically, night game where people are more open to meeting someone?
